Basically, if I were able to afford to hire someone to come in and help tidy up now and then, I'd do so because it's getting tougher for me to do it all on my own. First, I know what goes in the trash and what doesn't, and what needs to be washed. Explaining to a maid what can go in the trash and what can't and what needs to be washed would take time.
