Online Gaming With Hughes Net

Hello!

 

Seeing as how I have Hughes Net, I wanted to start something.

 

This topic is for posting and discussing what games work with Hughes Net and what ones don't. I saw this on another forum and seeing as how it hasn't been updated in weeks, I thought it was dead, So I decided to bring it over to here!

 

Whenever someone posts a new game / app / whatever, I will update it here, on the Original Post.

 

I shall now start it off!

 

Playable:

 

WOW- Works just fine, according to allot of people on other websites. Sense I don't have WOW, I can't test it myself.

Maplestory - Sense I play Maplestory sometimes, I can tell that it plays almost perfectly, seeing as how the netcode is set up. There is lag when picking up items, though.

Facebook Games - Obviously they work perfectly, seeing as how its browser based.

Any Browser Game - Every one that I've played has worked really well, but the time it takes to load is a bit long.

Minecraft Classic - Works just fine.

 

 

 

Unsure:

 

Portal 2 (PC) - A few months ago I played Portal 2 online with some stranger for the first time, but was as laggy as hell. If 2 people play (with Hughes Net) together, you might be able to play. Don't quote me on that, seeing as how I never played with a Hughes Net player before.

Realm of the Mad God (Steam and Web) - The reason its under 'Unsure' is because when played, it takes up some MBs to play it, and when your out, it lags like hell.

Minecraft (PC) - Same reason ROTMG is under 'Unsure', but different because it can drain your allowance within 10 min. of playing.

 

 

 

Non-Playable:

 

Any FPS Game - Halo, COD, Battlefield, GTA, Saints Row, any of these titles and others cannot be played with Hughes NET (JUST A GUESS! I'm not actually sure it doesn't work, I'm putting this here because its only logical that you wont be able to play them).

 

 

 

Also, I'm not so sure that there are allot of people here that have Hughes Net, so I'll do my best to get allot to start it.

yeah but what you get like 200mb a day the download cap on hughesnet makes it the absolute worst thing in the world

unless of course you feel like staying up between the hours of 2am and 7am when you have a unlimited download cap.

also i played crysis 2 on hughsnet all the time (between the hours of 2am and 7am) it works fine running in full detail
