From the Spongebob wiki:

"The scene in which Squidward triggers a burglar alarm consisting of a bucket of gasoline which is spilled upon opening the door and lit on fire, causing a fiery explosion, is cut out in later airings of the episode, although a

reason was never officially announced by Nickelodeon. The most likely explanation for the removal is because the episode aired on October 5, 2001 the month after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In the months following this disaster, many companies began to cancel, delay, or censor media that contained anything even remotely resembling the attacks. Another possible reason could be to prevent children from attempting to ignite gas for real. This later became an internet meme. The version included on the Tales from the Deep', The Complete Third Season, and 10 Happiest Moments DVDs include the edited version, but VideoNow versions still have this scene intact. Today, the uncut episode is still aired only on YTV.

When the uncut version was aired, "The Bully" was aired first and "Just One Bite" second; however, in all showings of the edited version, the order of the two episodes is reversed."

Ah I never knew they cut out that scene. I remember seeing it the first time but I never noticed they removed it. That's pretty stupid, I don't see how a bucket of flammable liquids in anyway resembles the 9/11 terrorist attacks http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

They did the same with the Invader Zim episode "Door to Door":

"This episode was originally supposed to air just a few days after September 11th, 2001. However, due to some of the scenes in this episode that originally contained New York in flames, this episode needed to be changed in order to make it more appropriate. However, the un-changed version was still aired on accident, though it has since then never aired in the United States."

Ah that's a shame though I think that move was a more legitimate one as it would have not been the most enjoyable sight to see NY in flames directly after the attacks.

Still I wish they weren't so ridiculous when it comes to resembling terrorist attacks.

Alright, anypony remember Shanghied? Well, there were three endings to it. Naturally, Spongebob got his ending, and that was it. I've been trying to find the other two endings for such a long time, and tonight, I've finally found them. Not sure if any of you ponies have seen them yet, but if you haven't;

I've seen the other endings before. I prefer Spongebob's ending, mostly because i'm more used to it.

Hmm... What if MLP took place underwater, and Twilight Sparkle's first friends were Spongebob and Patrick, rather than the other five ponies? -_-

She'd be a cuter Squidward.

Well, if all the ponies were underwater, they're no longer called ponies. Its more like seaponies, or seahorses. :)

Wooooo Sailor Mouths is on (I think that's the name of the episode). One of my favorites. Sentence enhancers ftw.

I died when Spongebob gets on the P.A. system. Have a nice *eeeeek* day!
