"I think you look perfect. Who wants to blend in anyway?"

Six smiled at Vinyl and kissed her on the cheek, "Thanks" he said to her.

Vinyl kissed him back. "Where to?" she added slowly.

Six thought a moment, but his stomach answered for him. With a sheepish grin he said "Know any good places ta eat?"

"Sugercube Corner or that café down the street?"

Six looked at both the mentioned areas, Sugarcube Corner seemed to be more of a sweets shop, and although Six loved a good cupcake as much as the next pony, he needed an actual lunch. "Let's head to the cafe" he said with a smile.

"Ok. Let's go eat." They trotted down to the café, sat down, and, almost immediately, a pony came up to take their order.

Six sat down and let Timber order first, then he ordered a dandelion sandwich with hay fries. He turned to Vinyl and waited for her to order before speaking to her.

Eyeing the ponies that came to the cafe, Cricket made his way towards Vinyl and cleared up his throat. "Hey there Vinyl. Who's your two friends you got here?" He turned to Six and Timber and smiled.

"This here's Six Strings, my boyfriend, and his sister, Timber Strum. And of course my neighbor, Sonic." she said, then turned to the waitress, "I'll also have a dandelion sandwich, and can I also get a coffee with two creams?"

Six looked over at the new pony and gave a smile, nodding his head in greeting. He noticed the pony only had three legs, but he didnt stare nor say anything, who was he to judge?

"H-hey," Sonic said to Cricket.

[NeverNeverland 1,940]

"Boyfriend? Wow, never expected that from you!" Flynn laughed, before turning to Sonic and Six and bowed his head. "I'm Flynn. I'm a radio host back in Canterlot. Nice to meet you guys!" He turned to the waiter, and shook head. "I'm not having anything. Not hungry."

 

The waiter nodded his head in agreement and turned to Sonic. "Would you like anything sir?"

"J-just some hay fries," Sonic replied timidly.

"How've you been doing? Did you see Octi on the way down here?"

"Ehh... I could been better." Flynn said sheepishly. "The guys back at the station found out about a certain music festival that Orbital was supposed to be working at soon, and as it turns out he got sick. I wound up being second pick, and they practically packed my bags and sent my flank to Ponyville. As for 'Tavia, I didn't." Flynn frowned. "I don't pay much attention to the orchestral ponies after the fallout I had with them..."

"Well, at least you have friends down here. You could be much worse off, like stuck in the slums of Manehattan, without a ride, and not a pony you know in sight,"

"Aye yi yi... very true. Its kind of the same in Canterlot, but at least work is a tad bit easier to find there... " He shook his head and changed the topic. "Anyway, I heard you did a few performances a few weeks back, how'd they go? Did you come up with any new tricks since last time?"

"They went better than usual actually. I got paid a bit more and I got a ride home. And yes, I do have a better show now. I modified my sound system and I got more bass out of it. I also have some new songs to work with,"

[NeverNeverland 1,940]

"New system? Very interesting... I gotta take a look at it next time you play - usually you've got some interesting playback set ups, and I'm always lookin' for new tricks."

"Well, we've got a party tonight, so you'll be able to see it then," she replied.

"Interesting. I'll take you up on that offer. But... for a town like this, don't you think it'll get a bit too loud or disruptive for others?" Flynn asked, slightly puzzled.

"That's why we go to that club I bought a few months back, I made the walls completely soundproof. That's what the renovations were for."

"Ahh... so that was what all the talk was about. Big Pete and Orbital had always been talking about that, but I never knew it was already completed! Oooh, I gotta bring my camera now!" Flynn said, smiling as giddily as a schoolfilly.
