Victoria and Co. 782 June 28, 2012 Share June 28, 2012 (edited) Welcome one and all to Rebirth, an experimental RP meant to help the participants explore themselves and the power of their decisions. In this RP, should you choose to join it, you will play as a pony with no reelection of their past, their family, their beliefs, not a single thing. All they now are the facts they learned in their life before the Facility. Now, the Facility, or the Rebirth Facility as is its proper name, is a place of great science, where the entire RP will take place. Here, the test subjects are you and the tests are no different from your everyday lives. You are the only subjects in the Facility; the other OCs are the only other ponies you will ever come face to face with. And you only exist for one week at a time. For six days, you have a chance to explore the Facility, create relationships with the other test subjects, and have fun at your leisure. On the seventh day, your characters will exist in a suspended state, able to converse with the other characters with all memories originating from inside the Facility intact. In many senses, the seventh day is your characters reoccurring Judgment Day. After the seventh day ends, you will begin the cycle again, starting fresh as if it were your first post in the RP. New players may register at any time, but they cannot begin posting until the new week starts. IE: Vinyl posts in the OOC on Wednesday that she wants to join the RP. Vinyl is accepted, but cannot be a part of the story until Monday. The Facility is more-or-less infinite. At any given point during the RP, five incredibly large rooms will be available to explore, etc. and at the start of each week the rooms may change. NPCs (controlled by me or some else to whom I have given permission) may exist in some rooms. NPCs may or may not retain memories in-between the weeks. You may treat the NPCs however you wish, even to the point of falling in love and/or killing them. If you haven’t already guessed, this RP is sandbox. There is no central goal, no super villain the heroes have to fight, no princess the heroes have to save, there only exists what you make. While the Admin (explained below) may appear to be a central antagonist, it is only as antagonizing as the characters make it out to be. NPCs may be treated as antagonists or protagonists, but that once again is up to you. If you wish to create a common goal amongst yourselves, feel free to discuss it in the OOC, just as long as the characters lose the plan after the seventh day (no Fourth Day glitch for you Majora’s Mask fans out there). If you have any questions please ask them, I will respond as soon as I get them. Have fun and live again. Current Time of the RP Rules of the RP Rule 1: The RP happens in REAL TIME. There is no skipping in time, no jumps, nothing of the sort. If your character is waiting for the sun to rise, you must wait for the sun to rise in real time. The time and date will be the same as that of the Universal Coordinated Time, as seen here.Rule 2: Characters only exist for 6 days at a time. On the seventh day of the week, all events will be reset and the characters must return to the starting point. The seventh day will feature a limbo state in which you may converse with other characters and speak with the Admin. The end of the seventh day is called the Resetting. Rule 3: At the beginning of each week, all mental and physical imprints will be erased.IE: if your character breaks their leg, it will be healed at the beginning of each week. If your character is mad at another character, the anger and reason for the anger will be forgotten as will any previous interactions with said character. Rule 4: Use proper grammar, spelling, and word usage. Rule 5: No players may role play as Alicorns or any other beings of great magical power. You are limited to Earth Pony, Unicorn, and Pegasus. Rule 6: Characters must have no memory of their life before they entered the Rebirth Facility. Rule 7: Death is allowed, but keep in mind you will be returned to life at the end of the week. Also, escape is allowed, but no matter how far you get away from the Rebirth Facility, you will be returned to the starting point at the end of the week. There is no way around this. Rule 8: No god-modding of any type. If god-modding is seen, the Admin will handle you. Note of Interest: I will be playing as the Admin. Do not question the Admin, it will not steer you wrong. Interaction with the Admin is limited to the seventh day of the week, that is only time you may speak to and be spoken to by the Admin. You will never see the Admin and the Admin will always see you. If you manage to leave the facility, the Admin will still see you. Apart from the other characters, the Admin is the only person you can interact with in the facility. The Admin may change over time.
