Breech read the news paper the next day, reading a story that had been discovered, written, and published since that morning usually amazed him, but today this normally saddening story brought new emotions. He read that last night, one of the newborns in the hospital died in their sleep. "He can't be unaffected by this..." Breech thought with heavy concern for Scythe, "I should at least say something to him," Breech began to choose what he would say, but began worrying he might just upset the Hedgehog further, "After all, what cheers you up more than being bothered by a pony whos dangerously close to becoming your personal stalker," he sarcasticly told himself, "but still..." Then he remembered the pink pony from when he moved in. When he went back to apologize, she was still too upset to say anything, she wanted to talk to him later but instead of going to see him directly, she sent him a note. "It worked with me, and it's worth a try. Can it really hurt to let him know that there are people whi care about him?" Breech went over to the library to get some supplies to write the note. After rewriting it a few times, he was satisfied with it and went to go deliver it. He went to Scythe's house to go leave it on his doorstep and head home after.

(OOC, unless you want Scythe to walk out right then, Breech will just head to his own housse and leave him alone for a few days.)

Night was as usually sleeping at this time of the day. However, sometimes he starts pushing his cloud around at random - in his sleep. This was one of those days, and he could be seen floating around in circles.

When Scythe reads the letter Breech left for him it read

"Dear Scythe,

Hey man, I know I've been bothering you lately but I read the paper today and pieced together a bit of your job last night. I doubt it was easy for you. I would let know that ponies around here are willing to be there for you but I've said that too much as is so I'll just leave it at that. What you might not know is some of us, myself included, can relate to something like this, seeing such a painful event and knowing all you can do about it is play your role in it, wheter it's a role you want to play or not... It takes a toll on your soul if you give it the chance, and it's not something that can be easily healed or ever be undone. I doubt you'll take me up on this, but if you need somepony to talk to, just say the word and I'll be willing to help.

-Your, regretfully rather annoying, neighbor, Breech"

Later that day, Breech found himself wandering around the alleyways of Ponyville, just taking a walk to relax and give himself a nice seclusive place to have his own private thoughts. He ended up thinking about Scythe and the new born again and started musing how his letter had gone. "I wonder what Scythe thought of the letter I wrote him, I hope he..." Breech cut the thought short when he realized he was looking at Scythe's garbage and saw his letter sticking out of it, "Well... That answers that..." He made sure to go home before Scythe showed up/ saw him. It was by accident that Breech ended up where he was but he didn't know if Scythe would realize that on his own.

(OOC, I take it we're not standing by Scythe's dumpster otherwise this would be a very awkward conversation)

"Oh, hey," Breech said rather suprised to see Scythe starting a conversation with him, "Not much, just came back from a walk around the town. Helps clear my mind and reduces stress, at least thats what I hear. Can't hurt to try. What's up with you?" "Maybe the letter did help... at least a little..." Breech thought to himself.

"Alright then. Hey, listen Scythe I'm sorry dude, I've been borderline harrasing you and I need to let you know I'm sorry. I have issues making friends and when I met you, I figured we'd have alot more in common than we do and that maybe I'd finally have a close friend. I didn't mean to get so talkative, I'll try to control it better than I have so far..." Breech told him, more than a bit embarressed, "The perfect friendship, yeah right, not in your furture Breech... Karma isn't finished with you just yet."

He pushes his cloud in his sleep, drifting above the two talking on the ground, and for some reason his grip loosens right then.

He falls off of his cloud and lands on the ground right next to them with a loud bump.

"Zzz.... Ow... Zzz..."

"Well, other than Pegasi falling out the sky becoming a more frequent sight, no not really..." Breech said looking at Night, "Although I'm starting to wonder if this isn't an usual occurance for him... Hold on, actually, I have been working on a new spell recently." Breech added a bit excited, "If I can do it correctly, it can make a target incorrperal and able to pass through other objects. I've been avoiding live test subject in case the spell doesn't work or it gives out early," He continued, pulling a small pebble, that looked like it had been sliced neatly apart in some places, and a piece of paper, that had been soaked and dried multiple times to make it harden, out of his bag with telekinesis. He then cast the spell on the pebble and moved it towards and through the paper, "I've been making progress with it, but the spell is pretty difficult to use and if it gives out early..." as if on que the pebble stoped glowing with the enchanment and split in two pieces, a piece falling off of boths side of the paper, "if it gives out early, whatever part of the object was passing through something vanishes. I have a few theories about what happens but they'd take forever to explain so..." Breech said with his ears drooped and a mild headache. "So, how've you been settling in? It didn't seem like you had too much to unpack so I hope you had a good spot for everything.

"I explained that overly friendly stuff and you approached me this time. But no, I don't have a 'job,' at least, not like what most people would think of. The ponies in town let me run errands and do some chores in exchange for bits and neccesities here and there, although I do kind of have a small business during the spring. assassin training gives you the skill set to be a top quality gardener." Breech said with a smirk, "It comes down to, I don't need much and most of that I can find on my own, so I tend to have alot of free time."

"Not always. The Pegasi are in charge of mantaining the weather so they make it sunny, cloudy, or rainy depending on what the area needs. It has been a little cooler than usual lately so they're probably trying to the temeperature corrected," Breech said, enjoying the simplicity of this small talk, "Hey, Where did you live before moving to Ponyville? You seemed suprised by things we consider normal so I'm just curious what your old home was like."

"We should probably get him a proper bed of some kind..." Breech said looking at Night and the pile of dirt that was his current pilliow.

He keeps on mumbling, seemingly replying or commenting on what's been mentioned:

"Zzz.... Clouds be the place for me... Zzz..."

He says, as he seems to try and hug the dirt-pile like a pillow.

"Is it safe to say there aren't ponies like us in that world?" Breech asked him, pretty sure he already knew the answer. "What was it like? I mean, ponies are the most common race here, if there weren't ponies in your old world, what took our place, Griffins?"

He opens his eyes slightly, before standing up while dirt drops from his face.

"Where..." He looks around for a second, seemingly really tired. "The... Ground...?"

He flaps his wings once, and floats right above ground. "Sorry if I... interrupted anything." He says, as he slowly flies straight up and into a cloud, in which he falls asleep again.

(OOC, sorry people, alot of stuff has been going on at my house so I haven't been able to log on much)

Breech was about to reply when he heard their pegasus companion wake up. As he began flying up to the clouds Breech used telekinesis to grab him, saying, "Hold on Night, you just fell out of the sky from sleeping up there, you should probably get a safer spot to take a nap. The Library's tree branches are a nice spot and suprisingly comfortable," He released his spell to let his friend choose.
