Frozenpaw looked up at the dark sky and mewed quietly. It was raining- perfect weather for mourning.

Her mentor, Storm Cloud, had died in a battle. She sat around the body along with the other clan members, and gave her a small lick.

The other cats eventually got up and walked off, leaving the cat to be buried and mourned in silence, but Frozenpaw didn't move.

Her heart was heavy with sadness and she mewed loudly in despair at the darkened sky and rain.

Why did this have to happen?

Frozenpaw buried her head under Storm Cloud's arm and fell asleep.
