Ivy listened to him and laughs. "My brothers and sisters do all seasons" she told him. She smiled "I've never seen a noble men, not in my life." She liked this light chat made her feel better about what what was going to happen tomorrow.

" I have met a lot of nobles, my first special some pony was a noble. She found out about my dad and ended it. Say what you want about my father but he knew a lot of powerful flame magic, and taught most of it to me." Blaze replied.

Connor rested over Ponyville on a nearby cloud, eagerly listening to Twilight's speech.

 

Connor couldn't believe what he heard. Celestia and Luna are still alive? This was huge. Twilight then brought up the mention of rebellion, Connor knew that they had to rescue the princess'. It was the right thing to do. He continued to listen to her story when he learned of her friends fates. His mind then started thinking of Rainbow Dash; Connor went to flight school with her as a filly; they weren't exactly friends, but that was mostly his fault. Connor kept to himself a lot growing up, thus he was terrible at making friends. He had a huge crush on Rainbow Dash back then, but he was too shy to act on it. Come to think of it, he wouldn't be surprised if she didn't even know who he was...

 

He snapped back to reality.

 

"This is serious Connor, pull yourself together!" He said to himself as he continued to listen to Twilight's speech.

 

His mind has the unfortunate tendency to drift off. As much as he tried to focus, all he could think of was how much danger Dash could be in. What could those evil ponies be doing to her at this very moment?

 

He couldn't take it anymore. He knew right then he had to join the rebellion. He had to make sure that Rainbow Dash and her friends were safe.

 

Then, a pony rushed the stage after Twilight and chaos ensued. Ponies began to scatter as the rebels ran to the hideout. Where did they say they were going to meet?

 

"Dammit!" Connor cursed. He must have been too busy worrying about Dash, he couldn't remember where they said to meet! He lept from his cloud and began to soar through the air.

 

"where did they go?!" He began to frantically search the streets of Ponyville.

"Wa!" Chaos fell out of bed onto his face. How he wanted his soul diamonds! If nothing else, to avoid public embarrasment from falling 15 feet onto his face. He stood up as dignately as possible, his soul diamond hovering around him. "So... um... what now?"

It was morning, and as expected plenty of ponies from all around ponyville were searching for the tree library. Blaze decided it was only fair to release the mirage and the wards to let every pony in. Blaze stomped his hoof and said "Release" and the tree library became visible to the public. Blaze opened the door and let every pony who was crowded around, inside. He waited until every pony was inside, to begin his speech.

Morning star awoke from his sleep and began to walk out from his tree. Morning star packed his sleeping bag up and went into town.

Connor woke up on his cloud over ponyville. He spent most of the night searching in vain, but he knew they were around here somewhere. He noticed ponies were gathering in the library, that must be the place. Connor flew down towards the library and entered. He was greeted by a red alicorn.

 

"is.. Is this the place for the you know what?"

"Yes, yes it is, the name is Blaze, and you are?" Blaze asked.

Morning star happened to notice everypony near a library, thinking breakfast was being served he went towards the library.

Ivy awoke sleeping on the floor. Was not that best place to sleep. She looked at the ponies, she looked at Blaze. She got up and sat next to Blaze, she felt safe near him. She smiled, "We ready?"

Morning star kept his hood up as he was nearing the library.

Connor looked up at the alicorn. He had never seem an alicorn up close before, so he was a little flushed.

 

"I..I'm Connor. I'm here to rescue the ...princess'" he stuttered. He almost said rainbow dash.

"Yes, we are. Everypony take a seat, this will take a bit to explain" The surrounding ponies took a seat and listened intensely " As chaos explained to me last night, he has immense power when he has every single diamond of power, there are 7 of them. Now as much as I think that gathering up every one of these diamonds are top priority, we can not rely on one pony no matter how powerful he may be. So I have decided on the best course of action. We will break ponies up into different teams."

 

" One team will be devoted to finding these diamonds, and the team leader will be Chaos, who ever wants to team up with him is welcome to."

 

"Another team will be devoted to keeping HQ safe. This tree will serve as our HQ for the time being. I will head that team."

 

"One separate team will be devoted to gathering any information they can on Ven and his evil Darkhart Clan. And that team leader shall be Ivy."

 

"Anypony have any questions?" Blaze said finishing up his speech, the ponies were whispering amoungst themselves. But none spoke up...

Morning star notice that the door to the library was closed he thought to himself."blasted ". keeping his hood up he knocked on the library door.

Ivy blinked and looked at Blaze. She looked shocked, and then nodded. "on it!" She said. He's trusting me with that?! Well let's begin

Connor raised his hoof.

 

"What about the prisoners? If we don't act soon they could be in a lot of danger..." He protested. He realized that charging the castle to spring them would just get more ponies captured, he just kind of blurted it out.

Morning star was growing impatient, he knocked on the door to library again and waited for an answer.

"Ah yes, the matter of the captured ponies. I will begin magic training any pony who is in my team. We will eventually lead a full on assault on Darkhart Castle but we need Chaos's diamonds first. Our first priority though is gathering as much info on the matter as we can, so once Ivy has conducted a thorough investigation on the matter we shall not attack. Only defend." Blaze said, he looked over at Ivy and noticed she was deep in thought, "Is that okay with you Ivy." It seemed she didn't hear him the first time so he repeated himself once more...

 

Blaze answered the door. "Come on in"

Morning star entered the library with his hood up. he took notice of the seats and an plan begin drawn , he took a seat without saying a word.

Ivy nodded and looked over. "It will be fine, in few weeks i'll turn into Alicorn that can move plants, i'm not sure if that will be helpful" she told him. She looked around and sighed, "So if you know anything about them come tell me and will start from there" she said walking from the others.

"Ok, now who wants to join my team, Team Defender?' Blaze said

Connor didn't like this. Every moment they spent preparing was another moment Dash and her friends were being held captive, and maybe tortured. As much as he wanted to rush over there now, he knew this was the best plan.

 

"I'm good wherever you put me, as long as we rescue the ponies..."

"Hmm..." Blaze was thinking. "Exactly how fast can you fly Connor?"

Morning star let his hood down. he payed attention to what was being said.

"well, I wouldn't say I'm particularly strong at flying, but I can keep up with a crowd." He needed to be honest. While he wasn't a bad flyer, he wasn't that great either
