[Octavia's Bow 2,035]

Scout sprang to his feet at the sound of the intercom. It had woken him from a particularly bad dream and that was one thing he was thankful for. He wasn't thankful for the brightness of the place and his disorientation.

"Sorry to have startled you, Scout," the voice said, "How are your accommodations?"

Now he whirled around, looking for some sort of device that gave the voice some sort of view of him. "They are... bright."

"I apologize for that," the voice replied, "When we meet for breakfast, the room will be darker."

"So, what do you mean 'Get prepared for breakfast?'"

Krooked lazily sat up from where he laid and yawned as he searched for the source of noise.

"There will be a breakfast prepared for you at 8AM," the voice explained, "All you really need to do is to straighten up your suit."

"Suit?" *Looks at self* "... I feel violated." *Straightens suit*

"Oooh a suit! How fancy!" Krooked got out of bed and stretched before walking over to Scout.

 

"Hey there, I'm Krooked. Its nice to meet ya!"

Scout looked him over, and looked down*

 

"Errm, Hi."

"Um what would your name be?"

"interesting name. I suppose we should head outfor breakfast."

",,, Yah, I suppose." Missing the Everfree already.

Krooked led the way as the two made their way down a long hall. Many doors lined the walls as they walked.

*Followed slowly, crossing through every shadow they walked past, observing every corridor*

"Not a very talkative pony are you?"

"I'm sorry, I'm not used to company, unless you count the assorted creatures of the Everfree."

"The Everfree? I didn't know anypony lived in there."

He laughed slightly,"Have you never heard of Zecora? There are many ponies in the Everfree, just not as many as in Ponyville, or, lets say, as densely populated. We prefer the quiet seclusion."

Ring Leader sat down at the end of the breakfast table opposite of the door. This side of the room had no lights, but if you were to step in, you could see a dark form of him. He waited for the two to come and sit at the table with food in front of their chairs.

He paused in front of the door marked 'Cafeteria.' "I think this is the place. I'm gunna check inside, see if it's safe. I don't trust this place." And then he stepped inside, immediatly sidestepping into a shadow*

Krooked simply shrugged and waited outside until Scout returned.

"Welcome Scout," Ring Leader said, "I'm glad you made it. I am Ring Leader, and I will be walking you through this experiment. Could you bring in Krooked please?"
