I can't tell what the face is really even doing but it doesn't look like it's sticking it's tongue out lol. It's kinda odd to look at, and as someone who uses the tongue-sticking-out-of-the-face smiley a lot it kinda discourages me from using it. Akemi Homura 7,680 July 18, 2012 Share July 18, 2012 I never liked the "" emoticon when using the MLP Forums theme - no offense to Feld0 or anything, but it's really hard to distinguish it from the emote and I sometimes cannot tell the difference outright. That being said, perhaps you should switch to the IP Board theme for the time being until there's an official announcement about the emote being changed... unless the admins deem it's not exactly worth it to replace it. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For starters, it can be use disrespectfully, as in one sticking out their tongue to show annoyance or mocking. It can also be portrayed as a symbol of playfulness or self-proclaimed cuteness. It could also stand for one's disgustedness, or disapproval of something. Over the years, it's been more used to symbolize playfulness, and so it has become the primary and more common use for it, which is probably why Feldy (or whoever designed the emoticon image substitutes) made Twilight's expression like that. 1 My journey in the fandom started on April 5, 2012.
