"Well, do you know how to drive this thing? Do we even now if this train will get us close to the castle?" Sparrow replied, slightly reassured by Butcher remark. "This is how I see it. If we walk, it will take longer. There are probably more chances to get ambushed. I don't really see any benefit to walking. With the train, it could malfunction. I don't know too much about trains, but isn't there a chance it could explode? Plus, zombies could stow away on it and get us once we reach our destination." Sparrow took a look at the thing. It seemed sturdy enough, but if they couldn't get it running, it was useless to even give it a second thought.

"Can somepony toss me a communication device or something?" Snow Flake asked as he continued to prepare weapons.

"Maybe we should stay here for a while and get some rest, it's still dark and it feels safer with all these guns around us." said Daeva as she walked inside the staff room in the Gun Store.

 

"Here Snow Flake, here's a Walkie-Talkie." as she tossed one on the counter."

''Okay.. What do we plan on doing?'' Splinter said while flipping his pistol. ''I know the plan.. But will we get there by foot? Or do we take a vehicle?'' Splinter said while cocking an eyebrow.

"Thanks Daeva." Replied Snow Flake as he attempted to contact Charlie and Bravo squads. "Charlie, Bravo, what is your status?" Snow Flake asked. "You guys want me to go on and scout ahead?" Snow Flake asked while loading his new Socom MK23 and LR-300ML. "The more we know, the better." The Pegasus implied.

"We still have no idea where Bravo is and that walkie-talkie isn't going to reach them, we'll have to contact them through radio transmissions. Scouting ahead isn't a good idea, you could get killed out there." Daeva replied Snow Flake

 

"Anyway, we'll be going there by foot. Let's get moving now." said Daeva as she opened the door.

"Everypony, on me." as Daeva took out her G36C and aimed down the sights as she slowly walked in the direction of Canterlot.

''Bow Chicka Bow wow!'' Splinter said quickly. He equipped his Assault Rifle.

"We're not even half way to the fountain so we should get a move on before it get dark again, especially when it looks like it's about to rain."

 

Daeva started walking faster but still keeping alert of the surroundings to see if there are any zombies.

''What's so bad about rain? It's just water..'' Splinter said sarcastically.

"There's going to be lightning and it might give us some unwanted attention."

"Rain may happen to jam our weapons and cloud our vision." Snow Flake answered.

"I don't think this is a good idea, anything can come at us from nowhere." Snow Flake said as he repeatedly switched the direction of his weapon nervously.

Fire Blade grabbed his rifle and extra ammo, not to mention a pistol, and ran to catch up wight he others.

"Sorry." He slowed down and walked next to Daeva.

Sparrow stared at his companions, hoping they'd voice their opinions. The way they just sat there, deep in thought, was unsettling.

 

Butcher stared at his companions, and shook his head. He started walking away from the group, armed with his cleaver in mouth, and towards the main Canterlot grounds; which were a ways to go. He wasn't gonna wait around for anyone when he had to meet at a rendezvous point.

Realizing that Butcher was just going to go without them, Sparrow began moving in his direction. "Thunder, unless you want to be left behind, you'd better come with us. There's power in numbers." Sparrow said, turning back towards Thunder Chaser.

[Azura 1,107]

"Hey there Fire Blade, what took you so long?" said Daeva as she continued walking with the others behind her.

 

She saw something move again, she was pretty sure it was the same monster that she saw yesterday.

 

Daeva quickly switched to her sniper rifle and looked through the scope, she only saw the eye of the monster before it ran away.

 

"I won't let it get away this time." she flew up into the skies and spotted it standing still looking right at her, so she quickly scoped in and that's when it just disappeared with a layer of smoke surrounding the place it disappeared from.

 

It scared Daeva knowing that it won't be that easy to kill.

[Nightfall 3,950]

"I was... Distracted, shall we say." Nightfall pulled out his rifle and looked down his scope while Daeva took to the skies. A thick smoke started to cover the path ahead. "That could mean anything," Fire Blade told himself to stop his knees from shaking.

Daeva flew back down without telling anything.

 

She knew she had to kill this monster and she wasn't going to tell anypony what she saw.

 

"It was nothing, just a smoke bomb. said Daeva thinking that such excuse wouldn't work.
