Jaide went around asking people were the nearest library was. Everyone kept ignoring her because she wasn't wearing a fancy dress.

 

"Oh well," she thought. "Maybe next time,"

 

Jaide walked towards the castle. She was hoping Vinyl was there so she can at least ask her something.

 

She stopped in front of the castle eyeing the guards that were protecting it. "I can't just say that I know Vinyl. They might not believe me,"

"And the reason I don't like Twilight is because she has no understanding of the importance of metamagic. And when one pony manages to attain so much power, and still be good looking, it becomes hard for anyone else in the same field to be considered anything important. How am I ever going to get the fame I need to attain the materials to make possible the theoretical turning of parallel timestreams to notice the effects of a direct collision?"

Jaide decided to drop out on the "convincing the guards" thing. The guards aren't going to believe her anyways.

 

Jaide walked down the stairs and headed towards the Canterlot Square where she passed many stores.

 

Out of the corner of her eye, Jaide saw a book store near a corner. "Ooh a book store. Wondor what kind of books there are," she said as she headed towards the store.

 

Jaide opened the door a little and gave out a small "Hello?" Nobody answered so she decided to go in. She quickly headed towards a shelf to check out some of the books there. She found an interesting book about Ancient Equestria. She took it out of it's place gently and began to read it right there in the dusty store.

Blossom Bloom bounced along the road, wondering what to do. "I need to relax. Somewhere quiet. Actually, I need to go to sleep. Where was that hotel that Jaide mentioned again...?" After a while of thinking, she shrugged, for she could not recall. "Maybe I can try finding her and asking." Blossom stopped bouncing and stood still "If I were Jaide.. Where would I be?" she wondered aloud.

Jaide didn't notice that she had gone through the whole night without sleep. It was already lunch time.

 

"No... Just one more page and that's it," she groaned. But of course, she didn't read one page. Jaide just continued to read.

The pegasus noticed that something in Wits voice had changed. "Everything's alright? Is there something you wanna talk about?"

Wildcard had just finished reading the first chapter of the book. "This sounds quite hard to practise actually." he said with a concerned look and asked "What if I do it wrong and somehow f*** up my aura?"

As they walked, Wits talked to Wildcard. "It can have some residual effects, but nothing that should seriously mess it up. If it does, the worst that could happen is you're grounded until I can fix up your aura. And once you've got it down, it's a fairly simple matter from there."

Jaide heard some ponies come into the store. She hid behind one of the shelves so no one could see her. She noticed that she didn't bring her book along with her. "Shoot," she whispered. She looked around to see if there was something to get her book back.

 

She finally found a ruler and decided to use it. Jaide tried to push the book towards her with the ruler. It only made it farther. "Tumble weeds,"

 

Jaide stretched her left front leg to see if she could get the book that way. "Almost there," she whispered as she felt the book's cover.

Wits sat down, and looking at the book began to study and scan the book at high speeds. "Differentials... differentials... here's the history you were reading... equations..." He looked up. "Do either of you know what the time inside out is?"
