Flare and Nova were in a holding cell. Beaten, scared, and tired form all the torture, magic stress, and punishment over the months. They were holding out but barely. They were living but on the verge of breaking down.

Flame smiled. "You guys are my friends. There is no way I would ever...Leave." He was distracted by a red light on his left. He stared at it and almost felt himself drawn to it. *NO, Its just a trick its just a trick its just a trick.* He thought, looking away from the light.

Lightning barely noted the change in her body.  While it was a welcomed form, she didn't have time to note it.

 

"Father, I thought you were gone!" She cried out.  Lightning had the urge to run to his arms, but the thick fog prevented her from seeing obstacles, instead, she tread light and quick to her father's waiting embrace.  

This is odd, but he's here, I  mean I can see him with my eyes.  It's him, Thunder...

 

Lightning was just yards away from her father.  A smile--a rare sight on her face-- was there.  She couldn't help it.

Anima then make the figure walk up to Lighting. Now face to face.

Lightning now able to see the figure in full detail could now recognize the unmistakable figure of her father.

"Dad" She said with a smile as tears began to mat her coat.

The figure looked down at her with the emotion now gone from his face

"Dad?" She asked now unsure of the situation.

Flame Tried his best to ignore the light but he always found himself looking back at it...It just kept calling him, Until he saw two figure's...They were pointing at him, Almost as if they were laughing. "N-No...Stop...STOP." He yelled, Grabbing his sword and flying at the light as fast as he could.

Flower heard a little filly crying in the distance, it sounded like the little filly was whispering right next to Flower's ear "Help me..." She looked around and followed the voice to aid the filly's help. As Flower was getting lured away from the group she kept on hearing a voice calling for help inside her head "Please help..." It was getting louder and louder the further away Flower was getting from Diehard and Flame. "Where are you?!" Flower yelled out, looking around turning her head searching for the lost filly.

As the figure looked at Lighting a smug grin crept across its face.

Oh course its me Lighting. Who else would i be? *hugs Lighting but body temp is lower than a normal pony* You know daddy missed you right? And that i always loved you.*holds her closer and grips her tighter* And i dont want to lose you again.

Anima was starting to play with with Lighting's heart. But everything was going as planed.

He then went to Flame and gave chase.

Lightning was happy, but something seemed off.  She quickly found herself unable to breath; her father was squeezing the life from her.  She wanted to call out, tell him to stop, but her voice was restricted and nothing more than a squeak escaped her lips....

Flame screamed and chased after the figures, swinging his sword angrily. "ITS NOT MY FAULT." He yelled, as tear's poured down his face. He tripped on a tree root and fell into a puddle of mud. his sword went flying and got stuck in the ground. "Its not my fault...Its not my fault." He cried, hugging his legs and staring at the ground.

Flower kept on hearing the little filly's cry for help getting louder, she started to sprint deep into the forest until she saw a small shadow in the shape of somepony crying and moaning. "Hello? What's the matter? Is there anything I can do to help you?" Flower slowly walked towards the filly, "Please help me..." her voice was weakened. Flower came up close to her to see if she could help but when she looked closely she could see blood dripping down her mouth, Flower couldn't say anything as she was in shock. "Hehehehe..." The filly started to laugh like a crazy maniac and licked the blood off her lips, she lifted up her head turned to Flower. Her eyes changed color and turned glowing red, her skin became pale and her body temperature dropped dramatically. 

Flower screamed at the top of her lungs and ran away faster than she ever did in her life, goosebumps covered her body and her heart was racing. She knew that the ghost was following her, the crazy laugh of the ghost girl sounded like it was catching up and Flower wouldn't look back because she was too afraid.

Thats it Lighting......Just go to sleep......*whispers in ear*  And die like the week wretch you are. You were never fit to save the world......I never had a daughter.

Flame looked up at the last words. "What ? No...You're not real. You left me in the middle of the road. YOU'RE NOT REAL." He yelled, pushing himself onto his hooves.

"Diehard warned me about the forest...I KNOW YOU CAN'T BE REAL." He ran towards his sword and tried pulling it from the ground, but it was stuck.

Lightning couldn't hear her father any more.  His words became muffled as he lulled in her ear, her vision became foggy.

"....~d-dad..." she murdered as her vision started fading to black.  

She felt her father's arms release her as she slid to the ground.  In her trance it appeared to be all in slomotion, but the ground approached quickly.

The monster was catching up, getting closer and closer. "Get away from me you monster!" Flower's heart was racing and never felt fear like this before. She didn't want to die, not like this. She ran faster than she ever did before, but the monster was still right behind her. "You're not going anywhere!" The beast said in a twisted voice and grabbed Flower's foot.

The pony got closer to Flame

Well....if you wont love your mother in life....*pulls a blade out of its body* Then you can love her in DEATH!!! *Swinging the blade down at Flame*

 

The pony looked as Lighting hit the ground. It looked deep into her eyes as it put its hoof on her throat. 

Now..to finish you off*raises its hoof now with a bone blade at the end of it and brings it down at her face*

 

The beast grabbed Flower and pinned her to the ground

You have nowhere to go. Nowhere to run. And no one can save you.*it shows its teeth as they start to grow sharper* And now....To END IT ALL!!!! *draws its head back opening its mouth wide ready to bite. Ready to strike it aims for her neck*

The ball then flew higher into the sky and started to shine. At first it was small....then in a sudden burst of energy the light rained over the whole island.

 

NOW DIE FLAME!!!*feels the light and stops before the blade hits him* AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! WHAT......is...ThiS?.....*body explodes and blade falls to the ground*

 

SAY HI TO YOUR FATHER FOR ME!!!*sees the light and body starts to smoke* Wha.....whats this.......whats happening to me*body on fire* AGGGHHHHHHH!!!! mAKE it stOP.......!!!!!!*melts into the ground*

 

*Lunging at throat but stops as the light hits it* AHHHHHHGGGGGG!!!!!! MY EYES......MY SKIN!!!!*body starts to crumble and turn to ash* No.......NO.....NO!!....no.........*pile of ash*

 

*voice gone from head*

Behold.....The power of light.

 

The whole forest had been lit up. It was now possible to see the end of the woods. The darkness was gone and the light shined over the whole island.

 

Now they should be able to find their way out. *looking inside his fake arm* I only have two more of those left. Its a good thing i took some of the princesses manes before they were gone. But i need to save these. I just hope this light last long.

 

Well well Diehard. You brought the light to my island. I see you have learned since last time. *looking at the cages with Nova and Flare in them* Im going to send you two down there to greet them. But dont try to run or warn them. *put a cuff around both of their horns* cause if you do....*uses his magic to run dark magic through their bodies* ill kill you from the inside out. Now Go!

Flame closed his eyes, ready for what was about to happen, Then, he heard a loud boom as...the illusion exploded. He slowly opened his eyes but quickly closed them as they weren't used to the light. "What the." He squinted and let his eyes adjust to the new light.

After a moment, he could see clearly and he leaned down to pick up his sword...and the one next to it. *I'm going to use this one to kill that stupid buck.* He thought, walking back towards where he thought he had left the others

Lightning opened her eyes, she didn't realize what had happened, but her father was gone.  She was hit by the new light that poured in from the canopy above.

She struggled to her hooves and tried to get her barrings 

Lightning spotted one of her group's members, she couldn't tell who it was but she wobbled on over bumping into trees along the way due to her strangling a moment ago...

Flower's heart completely stopped, she just closed her eyes and thought it was the end for her. Then she heard the monster scream in pain then vanish into ash. Flower opened her eyes to see the once dark, foggy forest transform bright and clear.
"What happened? I am I dead?" She rubbed her eyes and looked around wondering what just happened. "I better get back with the group" She started running back following her footsteps where she left in the first place.

As Diehard reached the end of the forest he could see Anima's palace. It was the only place the light was not touching. It had changed over the years. It was bigger, the fields in front of it littered with the bodies of fallen solders who tried to kill him as well. A few demons roamed around picking off the bodies.

 

Well old master..... Iv come to finish this...just like i should have all those years ago. Iv lost too much to turn back now. And you will pay for all their deaths. Your head will be mine.

 

And they will see their destiny that lay before them.

The four of them their hearts driven with the power of love they have been given.

At the end of the line you must be quick not to waste time.

For it will all come down to this and the twins of our last wish.

Freeze the world will if the twins fate is not fore filled.

And all of time will come to a stand still.

Lightning made it to the group and tripped with a thud.
"I"m alright." She staggered back to her feet.

The group continued up the forest path and reached the edge of the forest and saw a clearing.  As they neared two figures were off in the distance, slightly scuffing along the path.

"Buck, is that who I think it is?"

The group knew who it was and they didn't like the look of it.

Flame followed behind Lightning to the edge of the forest. He stopped and stared out at the two figures. He gripped his sword and didn't speak, he waited for somepony else to make the first move.

*looking at the two ponies coming at them* I...dont believe what im seeing. Wait....*looks at the group* We're missing someone. This is not good. You two go find him. Ill deal with these two.*walks up to Nova and Flare* It....cant be....You two are still alive.
