Modphase 1,271 August 19, 2012 Share August 19, 2012 Alrighty, so after I finish my fanfic, which was been a rather hellish affair, I want continue making art. However, I don't want to do just boring old vectors anymore. I want to draw things with a bit more.....detail. So I have a question. I have both paint tool SAI and photoshop, which one should I use? Which one is better? Which one is easier to use? If you can answer these questions you have my thanks.
Cookie Feather 490 August 19, 2012 Share August 19, 2012 I use SAI the most, it's the easiest to use from photoshop. Photoshop's so complicated to me anywho. My DAggggMy OCggggMy Steam
Ad Foedera Cresco 188 August 19, 2012 Share August 19, 2012 I think SAI is much easier and faster to use, but Photoshop allows you to do more detail and intriquite selective pieces if you want to spend more time on your Art work. Phaeston-e12 173 August 19, 2012 Share August 19, 2012 Photoshop may come with various tools, but the core of what you will use for digital painting is not much. You will have to learn some definitions and concepts like masking and brush controls which is digital-exclusive things aside from basic foundation knowledge of art. Alaxandir 93 August 19, 2012 Share August 19, 2012 I am curious why you think vectoring is boring? It is very possible to create complex and intricate images using nothing but vectoring.
Dusty Soul 2,612 August 19, 2012 Share August 19, 2012 Yeah, use SAI. SAI is WAY easier to use then Photoshop, and you can create an image just as well as you could on photoshop. Well, with my current knowledge I can't. Sure, I'll still vector, and maybe I will be able to create more intricate objects in the future.

Modphase 1,271 August 20, 2012 Author Share August 20, 2012 (edited) Alright, SAI seems like a good program, but I'm wondering, since I've seen some photoshop videos, does photoshop have vectoring capabilities?
