Silver Heart was bored. She thought it was very strange that during a situation like this anypony would be bored. Silver Heart decided to do something productive and walk through the hospital to check and make sure that all the barricades were holding up. She had wanted to check on Octavinyl but wasn't sure where she had flown off too.

"Oh. Zere's a few of you. And one vis a crutch? As a veapon? Against somevone TRAINED vis a knife?" He thinks for a moment. "AH HA HA HAAAA! VERY VELL! You." He points at Octavinyl. "I accept your challenge! I vill be on ze roof. Do not be late." He leaps up the stairs and is gone.

Earth Opal, calm and friendly as he usually was, boiled with anger, the hate for the pony with the strange accent radiating through him. He turned to Air Opal, but Air already knew what he was going to say. He simply nodded once more, and they both headed to the roof, in case their spells would become necessary while upstairs.

Octavinyl got startled when she noticed Air Opal and Earth Opal, but she sighed in relief that it was just them and continued on to the main threat. She turned back around and listened to what the stranger had to say, 'C-Challenge?! He's gonna fight me and not cooperate?! This stallion is just crazy for a situation like this! I'm too scared to fight him, but I guess I have to do this for everypony's safety...' she thought to herself as she started to whimper in fear. She gulped and started flying towards the elevator to get to the roof. Octavinyl was terrified at this point, she would have to fight a stallion who apparently is well trained with a knife...

Hypno had walked after Octavinyl, he had heard what was discussed and replied with "Boy, you got yourself in deep there" He said as he looked up the stairs "Here, lemme try to talk to him for a lil' bit." He said calmly as he walked up and kept an open eye for the Soldier in case he tried to attack. His tone suddenly changed completely "Hey lard ass, pick on someone your own size you accent talkin', sanvich eatin' peice a crap!" He taunted yelling up the stairs.

Earth and Air understood Octavinyl's nervousness. After all, a pony with a knife that he knows can be dangerous against a simple club. Air took a step into the shadows so he could watch without being seen, while Earth stood where he was, ready to step in at any sign of danger. They had already lost Lapis, and to lose her would be a huge setback to the group. As Earth realized that he didn't know what happened to Berry Pie, his head snapped back toward the staircase. But he shrugged it off as he realized he had bigger problems. What were these two ponies doing up here dueling when Equestria was covered in zombie ponies. Why waste their time for this? That was when he started talking. "Come on, Octavinyl. We have bigger worries than this pony. Equestria is covered in zombies and we desperately need to do something about it." Realizing that his presence was not yet known to the other pony, he stepped back in defense in case there was any instinctive move from the pony, but there wasn't. He wasn't worried if any came though, he knew his brother would help him.

Octavinyl turned to Earth Opal and replied, "I know, but this stallion is a threat to all of us. He won't even cooperate in a dire situation like this! I'm scared and I don't want to do this, but it's for your safety." she got on the roof top still holding the wooden crutch tightly. She was frightened about having to fight, fighting wasn't in her blood or soul. Octavinyl was more of a peacemaker, but this was about putting yourself before others. She stood there holding the blunt object while her whole body was shaking in fear.

Earth Opal knew that this was a moment to act. "I'll face him with Air Opal, we can finish him off easily and turn our focus back to those pesky zombies." Earth Opal knew that he was telling the truth, with the combined power of him and Air, they could finish off this pony easily.

Hypno watched as Octavinyl walked up and passed him to the roof. "Or... not..." He said as he walked back down stairs and thought that they could just handle themselves at that time. He sighed once more with nothing to do again.

Octavinyl turned around again, "No, I can't allow you two to fight him without knowing what we're up against. I'll try to fight him first and If I die, then please protect everypony in this hospital..." she replied as she turned around again and started flying towards the center of the roof. She was absolutely terrified now, she had just given up others fighting for her, but she had done it for their own safety.

Silver Heart had checked the barricaded loading bay and the main entrance. It didn't seem like the monsters were smart enough to realize that there was another entrance besides the main lobby. This train of thought called to question what these creatures are capable of. She hadn't seen them do magic, but magic required a level of sentience that the monsters didn't have. She wasn't sure that they would be interested in trying to harness Earth Pony magic, but the could walk and move and more then likely even run easily enough. So could they fly? A chill went down Silver Hearts spine. She decided to make sure the rooftop door wasn't open, just in case. She had told Octavinyl that the hospital was secure...and she didn't want to endanger the lives of the surviving ponies in here because she hadn't though things through. Silver Heart briskly walked up the stairs to the rooftop.

Earth Opal shook his head at Octavinyl as she flew away, not at her bravery, but her foolishness. If Earth and Air were to face the pony alone, they would be done with him within seconds. But if Octavinyl wanted to face him, which to him was a terrible choice, then she would do so. He turned to Air to protest, hoping that he would side with him. But he simply shook his head and watched as Octavinyl went to face the other pony.

Hypno sighed, he waited a few seconds before his conscious got the better of him. He walked back up the stairs once more and to the roof. "You are not fighting a military like pony with a crutch, you have no chance. Therefor i'm evening your odds and fighting with you."

"Hey, wait! You don't know what this guy is capable of! Are you sure ya want to do this?" Misty yelled after the white pegasus. If Octavinyl died, she could take leadership. Using reverse psychology usually worked. She just hoped Octavinyl wasn't too bright. Or willing to chicken out. She turned around and stared at all of them, "I know why I am doing this! Because I don't want you guys to fight him without knowing what he can do. Do you truly believe that you can defeat him without knowing his tactics? I don't care if he's stronger than me, this is for you guys. And if you got yourselves hurt, then it would break my heart knowing that I sent you guys to get yourselves hurt in the first place!" she yelled at them as her ears drooped. "I'm sorry for yelling at you guys, but please understand that I'm not gonna let you hurt yourselves blindly." Octavinyl added as she held the wooden crutch with both hooves. She would be holding the more larger object, but he would have the more deadlier weapon, 'He has to get close enough to even attack me.' Octavinyl thought as she tried her best defensive stance.

"Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what i believe" He said "You are attacking him with a crutch, you can't even kill anything with a cruth to my knowledge. He can't get us mainly because he has a tiny knife and i got a sword and magic, end of story. We outmatch him."

Flame followed everypony up to the roof. Octavinyl I...I... well I know you are going to dislike this idea but if we all just ignore the challenge and everyone here as a team kicks him out of the hospital than you wont have to do this, But if you are going to insist upon fighting him than take these. He gave her his two daggers. They are easy to use Block with one stab with the other, Good luck. He said with a worried look.

"It doesn't matter who has the biggest sword, but it is about who is holding it. Maybe I can try to reason with him first." Octavinyl replied to Hypno as she turned to Flame Dancer and then stared at the daggers. "I'm sorry Flame Dancer, but if I hold those daggers then I won't be able to see you guys the same way I am ever again..." She thanked him and started slowly fly towards the stallion that she was challenged by. Octavinyl stopped 10 feet in front of him and tried to reason with him, "Listen I don't want any violence to happen between us survivors, but we can just work together to survive this nightmare." she said to him as she dropped the crutch on the ground, showing a sign of peace. Earth Opal took a step back when Octavinyl started explaining to them why she was fighting to pony in a loud voice. He nodded his head in acknowledgement before heading back toward Air. Whispering so only he heard, he said, "First moment you can, take him out."

Silver Heart finally finished climbing the stairs, she thought her fears were about to be proven true as the rooftop door was open. As she got nearer she heard some voices, one she knew she recognized and one she thought she knew. When she walked out the door she saw some ponies she hadn't yet met, Misty, and Octavinyl staring down a rather large pony with a knife. "What's going on up here?" she asked.

Misty sat back and smiled smugly. This was going quite well. In truth, she had absolutely no idea why she would want to be the leader, but that blasted earth pony said he'd considered her to be leader. Now that he was dead, she'd have to take matters into her own hands. And reverse psychology did the trick. All she would have to do was wait for Octavinyl to lose the duel and lead a counter strike against the stallion. How could a plan that simple fail? What, were they not going to listen to her? Was Octavinyl going to actually win? Were the others going to cheat? These possibilities were dismissed as they occurred in Misty's mind. It was not the time to have doubts.

Some big pony just challenged Octavinyl to a fight, we all tried to stop her but she insisted upon fighting him. He said.

Stepping closer he whispered. I am sure im not the only one thinking this but... well I think that somepony should take that big guy out.

(I'm back! LEZZDODIZ!) A rifle shot rocks the building. The pony was obviously getting bored, and deciding to shoot some zombies for fun. He is obviously of questionable sanity, although none can deny his intellicence. His dog tags read "SS R. Alert".

"Umm... Hello?" Octavinyl said to the unidentified stallion in a soft one. She was scared, but she wasn't about attack someone without good reason. "Can you please explain why you were here and why you took Misty hostage?" She asked in a non-hostile tone.

"What? Why would he challenge her to a fight? Who is he? WHY did she accept?" Silver Heart cried as she looked in Octavinyls direction, finally taking a look at her friend. "Why is her face bruised and bloody?"
