I used to be a stranger 7,993 August 27, 2012 Share August 27, 2012 Even if Celestia can send Superman to the moon, Superman can cover that distance in literally a second- he can fly at 0.9c, which is essentially the speed of light. Unless Celestia's powers aren't limited to sending someone into space at an excessive velocity as well as teleporting them. She very well could send Superman to Pluto at Solar escape velocity, and it would take Superman years to get back.
Dreadmallon 353 August 27, 2012 Share August 27, 2012 I have the imagery of Celestia rapidly sending Superman to the moon repeatedly while Superman flies back. Someone should really make an animation of this.

Im pretty sure Superman can get there in back pretty fast, and if she sends him to the Sun... oh god.

Actually its apogee is about 7 light-hours, but I was wrong in my intial assumption anyways; I thought it was over a light-week away.Even so, solar escape velocity is pretty effing fast. Superman's acceleration would have to null out negative Sol acceleration, and then correct towards Earth continuously until he arrived.

The guys pushed is way through a Double Black hole i think hell find a way to manage the strain, unless she really is pushing him at the force of a Super Nova, then meh.

Fine fine, magick him away to Andromeda. That will at least take him a good century, if he's travelling 10,000 times the speed of light.

If Celestia is that strong which i doubt tt to be true, i mean if she can ten yeah hes fucked... Unless its Pre-Crisis Superman who would probably see that as a sunday stroll. I just doubt that Your welcome i guess ... but still she has at least 2 of Supermans most notorious weaknesses right on her side, Magic and the control over the Sun. If he was going against another pony hed stomp, But celestias got 2 cards to many. Oh and if she has complete control over teh Sun, ten why cant she turn it red? Plasmastorm X-15 162 August 28, 2012 Share August 28, 2012 Celestia wins because Superman gains power from the sun. If she were to take it away or turn it red Superman has no power and thus GG's for superman.

Guess i missed that episode Well its pretty obvious that she has complete and total control over the sun. AND you can disprove that because you said you would allow Fanon Celestia meaning she does have complete control over the sun. It turns red,he falls, she locks him up, and goes on to troll all of Earth.

Can Superman survive that :P
silvadel 1,393 August 28, 2012 Share August 28, 2012 The point is that Celestia wouldnt KNOW what to do. In essence they do not have knowledge of each others weaknesses. Unfortunately I think Celestia would do the wrong things when trying to take down Superman and Superman's abilities would be more effective on a raw-level. I mean after the first forced teleportation, Superman would know that was possible and scan for celestia with x-ray vision upon his return from the moon. Somehow I think cold breath would not be good for princess celestia, among other choices Superman would have to join the fight with. Silvadel, the Pegasus of Insight. silvadel 1,393 August 29, 2012 Share August 29, 2012 Superman has the ability -- but I dont know if he has the will to do it. I mean while his heat vision can be deadly, the most effective method would be brute force. I can visualize how but I am loathe to post it. Silvadel, the Pegasus of Insight. silvadel 1,393 August 29, 2012 Share August 29, 2012 (edited) You see I am also figuring this is Superman vs Celestia alien to alicorn, with an eye towards not hurting anypony else. If the gloves were off Superman would have a ton of extra options including liberating Canterlot from the side of the mountain. And now we are way beyond where I want to go. Im one of those people that believes that Superman would never harm anything that lives (probably why hes a Vegetarian... if he eats at all) Pony are nopony. But the same can be said for Celestia. Maybe we should take it were all of Equestria is ponyless (Mxyzptlk and Discord are having a bet or something on whos heroes better) and they are given all the space of the Pony world to fight, and if they lose they lose the one they love the most. I can see it being a good fight IF we take Post Crisis Superman and Fanon Celestia and give their best possible feats, Celestia could come out on top if she can figure out Supermans weakness and vice versa. Pre-Crisis Superman however... Celestias gonna have to work for that On another note who do you like Character wise best.
silvadel 1,393 August 29, 2012 Share August 29, 2012 (edited) Celestia is a lot more 3 dimensional than superman is. Actually I tend to find celestia as an adversary to Silvadel due to proactive overprotectiveness of equestria. Superman is one of my least favorites in the superhero genre. I am editing in my reply to you back here instead of making it a reply because I think this thread is derailing and I do not want to tempt fate. I am thinking of superman from the 1990s tv cartoon through justice league in the 2000s. Even so, sensitive superman still is nowhere near as 3-d as celestia is. This includes when he had to impersonate Batman and Braniac said the line "This is most improbable." I stand by my thought though that the main issue in the battle is how much superman morally doesnt go 100% in the battle. Though I really cant see how celestia would defeat superman. Teleport to the moon is not going to do it. Edited August 29, 2012 by silvadel Silvadel, the Pegasus of Insight.
