Shade watched as she flew away. She grinned. 'If she almost fell to a mutt spider, she will be easier to kill at the end...' Shade thought. She ran back towards the jungle, staying in the shadows. Wait... It wasn't the shadows... The sun was setting. She began to hear the new Equestrian anthem.

Equestria's symbol was projected on what seemed to be the sky. No tributes had died today, it seemed. Shade started to make a shelter hidden in a tree, and fell asleep.

Gamemaker looked at the footage of Shade killing the mutt and concealing herself in the tree. It was now the second day, and that meant a new danger. For that was another feature of this arena. He walked to his fellow gamemaker who was a unicorn. Are the new specimens almost ready? Yes sir. Good, make sure they don't breach containment until darkness falls.

Quillusion was sitting in her little cave she had found in the side of one of the hills, feeling perfectly safe, even though she had yet to even find or get a weapon. She had heard the anthem go off, and announce no deaths, which seemed strange to her. She hoped that no pony would find her, and that she could hide the games out.

Shining Armour looked disappointingly at the screen in Canterlot castle. After being tackled by one of the...things, he noticed how vulnerable she really was and how she needed to be saved by another tribute. He turned and walked out of the building, and began to talk with the crowds, trying to get them to donate things for Medley...

Celestia looks at the screen focused on Quillusion. She seemed to be playing it smart though she worries about the caves. I hope you don't plan on staying there long... The caves are where the blood bats hunt...

(OOC: Blood Bats are large, child sized bats who eat flesh)

 

Boss looked around the camp. No pony seemed to be attacking him. He walks up to the grill and snatches up the fish. He then turns around and sees a brown pony. Die Hard? Is that you?

Diehard had a blade at the ready. Who wants to know? He jumps back from the river and in front of the other pony putting the blade to his neck. Oh its you Boss. But wait are you here to fight or make peace? Diehard then smells something in Boss's breath. Wait..*sniff sniff*...You've been at my camp. And *sniff sniff* Dude! You ate my fish! I hope you have something to trade for the meal i "gave" you. Cause other wise He looks dead into Boss's eyes with an evil look on his face. Ill have to eat you instead. Pressing the knife harder on his neck. And at your size you will make for a great feast.

Shade saw Boss being held at knife-point by Diehard. Enraged, she ran toward him, knife at ready. She kicked away Diehard, and shot a bomb arrow at him. BOOM! The arrow JUST missed him! She ran towards him, slashing wildly. She noticed it was hard to stay on balance, and everything seemed to be melting in her eyes. She felt a pain in her hoof, and saw... "Oh no! Tracker Jacker!" She yelled. Off-balance and dizzy, she fell over.

Diehard got up and looked at the dazed pony. Now what did you go and do that for? Boss do you know this pony or is she just in the way? Picking up his weapon and turning it into a battle ax. Man i love this thing. So am i killing her or not? Hears a splash in the river. He walks over to take a look and sees a few fish float to the top. Well it looks like she gets to live. Her little bomb shock killed the fish. Gets is net and fishes the fish out. And it looks like i have diner...again. Looking at the passed out pony. Well i guess i cant just leave here. Puts her on his back and takes her to his camp. Ay Boss, you coming?

Boss got up and brushed himself off. He was a little stunned. He didn't expect Die Hard to go berserk like that. Ya that's Shade. She's friendly. She and I helped each other out in the jungle. I suppose I owe her my life now too. And sorry about the fish. Maybe next time you should put up some sort of defence to keep intruders out. Boss sits by the fire. Die Hard opposite him and Shade laying unconscious in the tent. Probably about 3 hours till the sun comes up. Maybe you should get some sleep after that fish.

Ezio stood at the bottom of the mountain, staring up at the mountain, as well as the labyrinth of caves above. Hoping that he would get something helpful soon, which hasn't happened. He began to climb ferociously, higher and higher, passed all openings. He didn't intend to stop. He wanted to get to the top. There must be a cornucopia somewhere, and it would make sense for it to be in the middle, hence, the top of the mountain. Even if there was no cornucopia, it would help him to get a good view of the arena, and what it looked like.

Looks at Boss. Well i do have one question for you and this might have something to do with why she passed out. I did set up one trap in this camp. I had five on the fire when i left. And two of them had a sedative of my own make. It would take a normal pony down in less than 30min. But for somepony your size you it might just slow you down for a sec, unless you ate both of them. So boss...feeling ....funny? He said in a strange way. But yea we all should get some rest. If you ate the two bad fish you should sleep great tonight. Night Boss.

 

Twilight and the Generals watched Diehard as he met the other ponies. That weapon seems to be very useful to him. Should we start making more Sir? Twi looked back at them in anger. I cant believe you would give him a prototype weapon knowing it could go bad at any moment. Well Ms. Sparkle that is all apart of "testing' something. You give to someone and hope they dont die using it or because of it. All the generals laugh. Twi just looks back at the screen. In thought. I may not know you very well Diehard. But just stay alive.

Shade slowly awoke, and as she did, a burst of pain shot up her leg. She looked down at her hoof. It was badly swollen from the Tracker Jacker sting. She was able to stand up, but was still very dizzy. She walked outside of what appeared to be a tent, and saw Boss and Diehard, asleep. She decided to go back into the tent and sleep, and so she did.

Boss had fallen fast asleep due to the drugs inside of the fish but within the next while they were beginning to lose effect. As the sun broke the sky line he pops awake and looks around. Shade looked like she was still asleep and Die Hard was no where to be seem. Either he went fishing again or he has left the camp. He decides to head out down to the water to see if Die Hard is there.

Diehard was sitting in a small waterfall up the river meditating. In thought. I am strong. I am power. I am energy. I am that is around me. I am strong like the trees. I am solid like the rocks.I am that is around me. I am free like the wind. I am lucid like like the water. I consume like the fire. I am whole like the earth. I am that is around. I am an Earth Pony. After a long night of contimplating, the morning sets itself underway... Merzai is watching the group of 3 (boss, shade, and diehard) as each one of them awakens. Although Merzai is torn, he has know idea what his next move should be... so he ties a tapered stick to the end of a springy branch, and ties the rope to the branch, backs off and waits while still keeping tension on the rope. for if one were to pass he could let loose of the rope, thrusting the makeshift stake into whatever is in its path.

As Medley awoke she became aware of a rumbling pain in her stomach. She was starving. She flew down off the cloud layer and looked around for some berries or anything that was more edible than grass. All she found were a few dandelions, which she picked and put in her saddlebag for later. She later found some daisies, which she ate right away. She wished that there were cupcakes here, but that would be stupid. The gamemakers wanted them to die. Not live.

Shining Armor returned to the main building, a small potion in his hooves. Based on the amount of potion you took at one time, you would get a relaxing and energetic feeling flowing throughout your body. But it only lasted for a short amount of time. If you drink the whole bottle, it would last for about an hour. Wrapping it in a silver-colored package, he sent it into the arena, the message saying, "If danger comes, you might need this to respond."

Boss isn't really the meditating type. He simply looks at Die Hard. Eh... I'm not really the meditating type. You just keep doing your thing though. I'm going to go see if Shade has woken up yet. Then I'll probably look for a bit of food. Though within the next two hours of the day I'm likely going to move on. We need to get these Hunger Games on their way. I'd rather not fight you or Shade but we can't just live inside this dome. You get what I'm saying? Some fights are going to happen.Today. With that Boss leaves to check on Shade.

Medley looked up and saw a small silver package coming towards her. As it landed, she opened it up and saw it was a strange little potion. She read the note out loud.

"If danger comes, you may need this to respond." She read.

Medley put it in her saddlebag carefully.

"Thank you, Shining Armour!" She said happily.

Gamemaker saw Quillusion lounging in her hill cave. If there was one thing he knew the audience didn't like, it was inactivity. He knew this was the perfect time to release the gas. It was the same as what was in Shade's darkness arrows. He pressed a button, and a colorless, odorless gas was released into the entire arena. Soon there would be mayhem.

Shade woke up, and saw Boss running towards him. But then... she felt something was amiss. Her darkness arrows were shaking, as if the same thing that created them was in the arena. Then her mind became distorted. Instead of Boss running towards her, it was... Celestia? No, that couldn't be! She knew it was the darkness fumes, but it kept trying to push the fact into her brain that Celestia was rushing towards her. But she noticed something. She noticed... darkness in her eyes. If it was darkness fumes, it would be JUST like if it were the real thing. So why would real Celestia have darkness in her eyes? Something wasn't right. She ran over to Boss, who still looked like Celestia. "Hey dude, be careful! Gamemaker is releasing toxins that make you imagine your worst fear!" She said to the Celsti-Boss.

Ezio paused to rest as he came about half-way up the mountain. Surveying the arena, he noticed there were 8 different biomes. There wasn't much else to see, and he began to continue towards the top of the mountain. Little did he know what he was too find. In different circumstances, something good might have come out, if it weren't for the gas being injected into the stadium.

(Medleys greatest fear is not being able to fly. She can still fly, but she can't see her wings so she thinks she can't.)

As Medley breathed in the gas, she felt something was amiss. She picked a few more dandelions and went so put them in her saddlebag. Suddenly she realised her wings were gone!

"NONONONO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!" She yelled

Quillusion first heard the screeching of some creature behind her. She knew right away she had to move as she saw the shadow of something starting to approach. She turned and ran towards the entrance of the cave, but flooding the entrance was a dark mist, the likes she had never seen before. The noises behind her were getting louder by the second, and her only hope for survival was to head into whatever that gas was. And that is what she did, she ran straight into it. At first she saw nothing, only the darkness and then images flashed though her mind. The death of many, the tributes she saw, they were all around her, there weapons drawn, ready to kill her. She then saw even more disturbing things, books, all of them, being tossed into fires. Her writings she had done, burning, the ponies doing it smiling the whole time. She started to cry as she ran thought the hills, having nowhere safe to go. Everywhere was death, death of ponies, and worst of all, the killing of all the books. Library’s she had seen before, visited on multiple occasions, laying on the ground in ashes. That was when she tripped and landed head first into a tree. She was now at the edge of the forest, but she had no idea, as she was now in a daze. Around her, she thought she saw the other tributes, ready to gut her, and rip her to pieces. She screamed, and passed out.

Boss was wondering what had happened to Shade. Had she gone insane? Just then he takes into account what she said. His worst fear... Just then the whole world around him grows and he shrinks. It was as of he was a child. Then he realized his worst fear had come to life. He was... weak. He was small and weak and everything around him looked powerful. Although he was still his normal size, in his eyes he was looking up at a much larger and more powerful Shade. He yells. Stay away from me! Get away!
