pjsforever 89 September 14, 2012 Share September 14, 2012 (edited) All right, so my science teacher randomly decided to put a pink pony with a rainbow mane on the spectrum tables we were supposed to copy into our notebooks. I'd post an image but I can't find it. It kind of ticked me off that she was able to find some obscure rainbow maned pink pony instead of just putting Rainbow Dash on it instead. It's like she deliberately searched for hours to find a non-Rainbow Dash rainbow maned pony. So anyway, I drew Rainbow Dash on my table! Obviously we weren't supposed to draw a pony on the table, but mine needed to be about 20% cooler. (apologies if you were expecting something better) I would have edited it a bit to make it look better (and to color it) but I decided I should just post it as it was. I also drew Twilight. Please, please don't murder me for getting the cutie mark completely wrong Critiques are appreciated! :3 (These are probably my first non-reference ponies) UPDATE: I just colored them and shaded them a bit. Planty 1,053 September 14, 2012 Share September 14, 2012 Nice, the eye's are really good, they look like real life For improvement's, twilight is pretty good , but her mane strip's are wrong, it's not lines all the way across (and the cutie mark could use added detail). Proportionally, she's looking pretty good , she's a bit to squished lengthways in her body to me, i think it's because her back is to curved and it needs to be a bit smoother and no so server. Overall this is really good thought Rainbow dash is also pretty good , i'm not sure her mane is quite right however and maybe her facial expression is just a bit wrong for me, she's just a but to cutesi and wootsi Overall two great picture's especially as one of them you drew in the middle of a class, i couldn't do anything like that Have ANY questions about Christianity? Yeah, I guess the Rainbow Dash I drew doesn't exactly have her Rainbow Dash spunk... oops... I drew Twilight in class too, otherwise I wouldn't have majorly screwed up her cutie mark xD (hopefully) Edited September 14, 2012 by cleva

Nope, it's just rainbow colors. Black absorbs all the colors and white reflects all of them, so I'm pretty sure they're not really part of the spectrum. Dusty Soul 2,611 September 15, 2012 Share September 15, 2012 Both are very good drawings. Twilight looks about like she does on the show, and RD looks just a bit different for some reason. InfinityWhale 771 September 15, 2012 Share September 15, 2012 Critique: -Rainbow Dash's eyes are placed too far down the snout, which makes the face look scrunched. -Twilight's figure is too pudgy. -Linework is rough. - RD's wings cut off badly. However, the proportions are good, and the character look very accurate to the show. Good show. Frayed Logic | Wits End | Light Eye
NavelColt 22,879 September 15, 2012 Share September 15, 2012 Even for a simple sketch, that looks really neat ^^ Wish I could draw anything past stick figures </3 Doodling ponies would be fun in class. But then again, maybe that makes it a good thing .3.

Thanks! I agree with what Happy Plant said, maybe it's her facial expression, or the proportions are just off. wow just seeing this makes me want to draw a pony but sadly i cant draw If you practice a lot you'll be able to draw! ^^ And if you still wouldn't be able to draw ponies how they look in the show, then you add your own style to them anyway, so it's not bad. Thanks! You should try to draw, I'm sure you'd have a bunch of cool ideas. Sacrificing a bit of my education to draw Twilight in class is pretty ironic worth it, at least to me. xD If you can listen while you're drawing it's not too big of a deal... but I'm guessing you're in college so that wouldn't turn out well either way

And besides, my talent is and always will be writing xP I can't even draw stick figures. Edited September 15, 2012 by ~Chaotic Discord~
XUNUSEDXXX 3,459 September 16, 2012 Share September 16, 2012 I actually like these alot and you really got the accuracy down except for one thing. Their snouts look a bit off compared to the show
