Episodes with Audio Description? (Is that what it is called?)

I am in the process of watching an episode on Treehouse TV (in Canada!)

Apparently there is a narrator describing what is going on.

Even though I am not blind or anything, its sorta useful for the blind bronies.

Because the narrator called Derpy, "Derpy", I am now proud that it is somewhat canon!

Who else freaked out about that? (For anyone who watched it yet with descriptive audio?)

I don't really use that kind of stuff. But I was super happy when Derpy talked it made me smile with big joy. Also don't trust Treehouse tv. They once censored 'loser' In 'Boast Busters' and 'Party Of One'

Guess what? I watched Return of Harmony Part 2 yesterday after coming home from work, and I heard the word "losers" as clear as day...

Strange that it's censored on Party of One, but not Return of Harmony Part 2.

I missed them air that episode!?

 

I remember a few weeks back I really wanted to watch it on Treehouse, and I recorded it during it's time slot and everything, just because I wanted to see if they'd censor Derpy. I was disappointed when they aired a season 1 episode in it's place.

 

I'd prefer it if YTV or Teletoon aired it though. MLP suits those channels better, and it's kind of jarring to see it aired with shows like "Toopy and Binoo", "Dora the Explorer", or "the Backyardigans", shows that seem to have an even younger target audience.

 

How exactly does the audio description work anyhow? Does it talk over the characters voices?

Umm... Actually, I wasn't talking about Last Roundup, I was actually watching Look Before You Sleep.

Near the beginning, when Derpy breaks off a branch, the narrator calls her "Derpy".

Ah an audio desciption? Ive actually seen those in some cartoons and they are ok.

 

It would help blind people know whats going on (besides dialouge) the only problem is that the voices DO talk over the shows voices.
