Rainbow Dash groggily stirs from her sleep.

"Ugh... It's... On!" she said now awake.

She stood up, she never refused a challenge.

The two of them got ready, Wings extended, Eyes narrow and on the prize.

"Ready... SET...GO!" rainbow shouted to start the dash to the rock.

The two of them were gone with a rush of air.

Shades new close seemed to slow her down.... But her Wingpower was somehow more powerful....

 

Both of them were fighting for first...

 

Shade was charging up her thunderboom.... She was getting ready to explode ahead of rainbow...

 

Sparks came out of shades tail...

 

Shade: no chance of you wining this time! My wing power has increased! And I can feal it!!

Rainbow looked over and saw shade's tail sparking.

"Oh this can not happen!"

Rainbow started to accelerate, the air around her was getting very hot.

The two of them hit their thunder and rainboom in unison.

The force slammed each other with air. Almost making them both fly out of control, but they maintained their lines.

both looking at eachother.... both going so fast both almost at the rock.... who will be overtaken? who will win? who............. won?

 

they both passed the rock.... shade was panting...

 

Shade: Well..... rainbow?..... gotten faster or what?.... i dont think i won that time, but i do know something that i beet you at...

"Yeah i'll say you have" she agreed "but I'm the fastest around" Even though she knew it wasn't by much. And the zomponies decreasing her power didn't help her case.

 

They both glided down to the ground to catch their breath.

 

"Beat me at something? AS IF" Rainbow dash said cockily.

shade sayed back at rainbow trying to imitate her cocky look

Rainbow dash was taken back a little by that comment. But she knew it was true deep down.

"I resent that! Lay down the stakes!" she said eagerly "I'll bet you that by tonight i'll have told him"

Shade took a moment to think. She seemed smug with rainbow dash's reaction.

i was thinking more like 10 seconds flat... unless you are slow at this kind of thing? but that's ok... maybe youl even be last of our friends?...

 

shade was "motavating" rainbow to get going and tell split... some how... she thought that with the power of friendship, the power of love, and the power of life would put the zomponies back in there grave permanently. she just needed rainbow to be with split to make the love section at max possible power

"slow...SLOW!? DId you just suggest I be slow at something?" Rainbow Replied, practically gnashing her teeth.

"Well i'll show you, when i see split, i'll tell him." she said satisfied. She could see a smile work its way onto shade's face. She knew she had just made a bet she couldn't back down from.

well then.... in that case.... race you back to came!!

 

shade blasted off into a thundercloud. she was trying to get rainbow back to came as soon as she could... being ahead of rainbow for awhile made her feel sooooo good.... she liked the speed, she liked the wind.... she liked the lightning that she created going sooo fast... soon she was almost at camp.... she looked back to see where rainbow was...

Rainbow took to the air after shade.

Shade was off to an early start, and she looked back to find rainbow dash.

Rainbow let out a whistle above shade.

She looked up, rainbow dash waved and laughed. She was impressed by shade's new speed, but she didn't let that stop her from her goal of win win win.

rainbow beat shade to the camp... again.... this time it was clear that she won...

 

ok rainbow.... you won.... and look... what do you know... split is right there? go on.... im watching... to see if you dont chicken out...

 

shade gave a smirk to rainbow and punched rainbow to split... she was laughing on the inside

Rainbow was shoved into the camp by shade, she looked back with a scowl towards the snickering shade.

She looks back and walks over to split.

"Hey Rainbow Dash, what have you been up to?" he asked

"Not much, race here, a race there... anyways, i have something to ask you split" she says as she gets closer and sits down next to him.

"ummm what is it?"

She took a deep breath "I...I..."

"just say it."

"I like you... I have feelings for you split" She said blushing

There was an awkward pause.

Split leaned over "I know" (Han Solo lol?)

Rainbow thought she could hear a "YES!" in the background but she wasn't quite focused on it.

"How did you know?"

"well it would explain some of your antics wouldn't it, don't worry, I feel the same."

she finally admitted that she likes split....

dear princes celestia... love can be a hard thing to find and admit... but if you have a good strong hart and with some help from a friend... you can find and have the love of your dreams....

 

shade felt some power inside her once rainbow and split talked, she felt a spark inside her, and not an electric spark.... but she felt stronger after that....

 

ok everypony.... i say we start to head through ponyville... and head to the military base.... then we should be in canterlot lets GO!!!

Rainbow felt good to get that off of her chest. And she felt even better since Split felt the same towards her.

Some yelling was taking place but rainbow didn't catch the words.

"huh?"

"we need to head out" split replied

the two of them stood up and rejoined the group as they were about to make their way towards ponyville.

"haha, thats the shade i know and love, lets hit it"

parso called out as he picked up his rifle and bag, getting ready to head off

wynter was waking up fluttershy

"up you get, sleepyhead"

he nuzzled her and she woke up. he lifted her onto his back and held his rifle by the strap in his mouth

pinkie pie was up and at 'em, it was strange how she was so cool about the whole zompony situation

Shade lead the group into ponyville... They looted everything that was nessasery

 

Rarity trotted into her house... She complained about her dresses being torn apard... Shade draged her out...

 

Twilight added the books she didn't have into the library and read up on some defense spells

 

Something was bothering shade... She didn't know what it was but... Just something was up...

parso trotted into his house, there he found a flashlight and some duct tape. from these he strapped the flashlight to his rifle

"now we can see in the dark"

wynter put fluttershy down and smashed through the window of a shopfront and climbed in to get some food, its gonna be a long trip

Every pony seemed to have gotten what they could get without attracting zomponies...

 

Shade told every pony to get a move on... She wanted to get to canterlot ASAP to fix the zomponies

 

Shade was really showing that something was bothering her... She had an idea but.... She didn't speak...

 

Soon the military bace was in sight...

 

Shade: ok everypony... You know the drill... Set up camp and rest for the night... And somepony keep me strapped down... So I don't go on a lowner mission...

Everyone entered the perimiter and began to set up camp. The camp was luckily intact from when they were last here.

Rainbow and Split set up around the fire pit.

Shade was saying to watch her to make sure she didn't leave. We didn't need another accident.

Shade was ontop of the hill.. Looking down at it... Remembering that that was the spot where she descovered he broken horn... And the spot where she dreamed about her father... She couldn't bair to think about it... For her past was full of mysteries...

 

She looked at the bace through some binoculars... She saw an unusual amount of zomponies around... It... She didn't cair for it at the moment... She just wanted to sleep

parso gave shade a wink before sitting down near the fire

"faust fluttershy, you're gettin' heavy"

wynter set fluttershy down and sat next to her, she snuggled into him and didnt say a word

parso laughed as he saw fluttershy snuggling into wynter

"what of it? she's adorable when she's like this"

"i'm confused why pinkie isnt calling it out, she did with me"

"the love in tragedy is getting old; you with shade, dashie with split, wynter with fluttershy"

Everypony seemed to let out a chuckle at pinkies comment. But at the end of the day none of them cared, they were all so tired from their long travels. And they knew if they didn't get some rest, they would have some zomponies to fight in the morning, with their eyes half open.

Shade: well... I'm going to sleep... There seems to be a lot of zomponie activity overthere... And we're going to need rest....

 

Twilight was reading a book...

Twilight: well I think I know a spell that will give Anypony a full rest in 6 seconds... Anypony want to check out the bace... I can only do 3... 4 if lucky...

 

Rarity: count me out I need beauty sleep and I an not counting Ina spell to do it...

 

Shade: il go... Somepony needs to guide them through the bace... And I know my way around the bace...

parso picked up his bag and put it on, checked how much bullets he had and tightened the silencer on the rifle

"alright, I'm ready. zap me, twi"

he stood there and braced himself for being hit by magic
