Luurilka 325 January 7, 2012 Share January 7, 2012 By counting the number of houses in this image of ponyville and determining the number of ponies per house, I have concluded that the population of ponyville is 300-600. The picture has about 100 houses shown, but there could be up too 50 houses behind that cloud or too far away to see. I could see the average house in ponyville holding 3-4 ponies. If 100 homes holding an average of 3 ponies, then the population is 300 If 150 homes holding an average of 4 ponies, then the population is 600 What do everypony else think? ScottishUnicorn 284 January 8, 2012 Share January 8, 2012 Or maybe each pony owns 20 houses, and clones themselves constantly to use up all the houses.
I used to be a stranger 7,993 January 8, 2012 Share January 8, 2012 I know what big and small communities look and feel like from having lived in a few of them. A low estimate of 500 and high of 1500 sounds about right. Canterlot seems also quite small compared to human urban centers, being maybe as high as 20,000. Lady Rarity Pony 4,892 January 8, 2012 Share January 8, 2012 I would say around 1,000 - 3,000. I would say 25, not counting the clones. 1 LRP's opinions are subject to change without notice. Fees and penalties still apply.
