Harp fell asleep from being rock back and forth by the sea she didn't understand what was the big deal all she knew it had to do with the island which she never heard of. For all she knew it could be discovery or adventure waiting for her she could hardly wait.

Out of his travel pack, Star Keeper brought out a small piece of parchment and a charcoal pencil. He licked the edge of the pencil ( a habit he had gotten into) and begun to sketch the visible shoreline. He mapped out the coves and bays, the sandy beaches. He made note of where the jungle seemed to loom over the shore. Despite the sawing of the dingy, he seemed to be able to keep a steady grip on the pencil.

 

'But a simple stallion swimming in a sea of sharks.'

All the dinghies arrive at the shore of the island, the sun was about half way across the sky.

"Alright everypony, We are here. all of you set up your tents then we will all help set up the research tent.

Then, We can eat lunch." Flame said, hopping out of the dinghy and pulling a couple large bags onto the beach.

 

(OOC: We are NOT going to let this die so soon. On my next post something awesome is going to happen, that will help speed things up.)

(OOC: Yay! We are finally on shore. Do we each have our own tent or are they shared?)

 

Silver Heart got off the dinghy and levitated her bags behind her as she took in the island. The jungle seemed more darker and therefore more intimidating. The darkness of the jungle seemed alive almost as if it wanted to devour her. Her heart was pounding in her chest.

 

(OOC: In this RP Silver Heart has slight nyctophobia, an irrational fear of the dark.)

Fame noticed SilverHeart staring into the forest, He looked at where she was staring and felt almost as if something was looking back.

"Um... D-Do you guys feel like... Never mind." He tried to ignore it and then continued bringing bags from the dinghies onto the shore.

Harp woke up and ask star keeper something."What is so special about this island anyway"? She as completely forgotten about her feelings for star keeper at less for awhile , the only thing she cared about was finding out what made this island so different form any other island.

[Cherry Blossom 864]

Cherry Blossom pulled her things out of the dinghy and placed them onto the sand. As she opened the luggage, one thing came to her mind, she didn't have a tent. "Does anypony have a spare tent I can use? I-I mean, if that's okay with any of you," she said.

Cherry Blossom noticed Silver Heart and Flame Dancer staring ominously at the woods. She looked at the sand and it seemed to be much more pale, the closer it was to the forest. The mare decided to pass it off as a natural effect instead of investigating.

"Um...Yea." Flame tore his eyes from the jungle to look at Cherry blossom. "My tent is pretty big so you are welcome to camp out with me, I have an extra cot that you can use as well." He said smiling. "Speaking of which." He trotted over to a large bag then started unpacking everything he needed to set up his tent.

"Oh, thank you," she smiled back in gratitude then continued to unpack her things. As Cherry Blossom started taking things out of the luggage bag, she noticed something eerily strange. That forest was really bugging her and it was getting very intimidating just to look at.

Flame stood setting up his tent with his back to the forest. <Just try to ignore it Flame, There is nothing in that forest.> He thought, looking up at the sky, noticing some big black storm clouds out above the ocean. "Looks like we're in for a rather large storm tonight." He said, pointing at the clouds, which were slowly moving closer to the island.

Silver Heart finally willed herself to look away from the jungle. For a few moments she closed her eyes and focused to attempt to calm herself. She looked around for the place furthest away from the jungle she could set up her ten while remaining close to the group.

"The fact that we have only recently learnt of it's existence, mainly." Star Keeper turned to Harp, trying to keep a straight face. "The rest you don't need to know as of right now. We simply wait for now. You rest here, I have to fully layout the shoreline by morning." He took up his pencil and parchment and trotted away, leaving the black mare alone.

 

Star Keeper looked to the sky, mapping out his exact co-ordinance based on their current position. He looked across the shore line and begun to draw in the blanks. He sat here for at least an hour till he felt satisfied with his work. He sat up and prepared to join the others at the camp site when he felt something smooth against his hind leg. He looked back to see a slimy limb firmly grasp his leg.

Harp was wondering when Star keeper will come back so she went out looking for him. She played her harp while looking for him she hoped that star keeper will notice the harp playing and call out to her if he was endangered he'll call out for her if not something is wrong.

Star Keeper tried to give a yell for help but was quickly silenced when another limb knocked him clean over the head. Star Keeper heard and saw no more...

Flame wiped the sweat from his brow and looked at the sun slowly moving down towards the horizon. <Hmm... We haven't been awake all day... its only about two hours... Strange.> He thought opening the door to his and Cherry Blossoms tent. "Well That took a while but its done now." He muttered, unpacking his sleeping bag and pillow.

Star Keeper looked down to see what had grabbed him. Slithering across the sands and firmly clapping his leg was the form of a snake. He didn't know whether to be relieved that it wasn't a monster, or terrified because it's a snake. Jolting to action he flung the snake off his leg and bolted down the shore line. He didn't look back til he had the camp fully in sight.

 

'That is the bloody last time I go anywhere without telling anyone where I am. Harp must be terrified on her own.'

Harp called out for star keeper."STAR KEEPER WERE ARE YOU"! She yelled to alert star keeper that she was looking for him, she wanted to make sure that he was alright but besides that she didn't let her feelings interfere with what was happening around her.

Flame trotted out of his tent to see the sun touching the horizon. Trying to ignore it he trotted over next to the forest to get some dry wood for a fire so he could make dinner.

Flame looked up and stared into the dark grey forest. <For a tropical forest this sure seems... grey.> He thought, still staring at the jungle. then he heard harp yell back at the camp. "Oh Buck." He muttered, dropping the wood and flying back towards the camp.

Avion sat, staring at the forest, his wings twitching a little bit "Yo Bio get over here"

Rolling her eyes, abandoning her tent. trotting over to Avion

"Yea what is it" anger still in her voice, she was still mad about the whole stealing her mask thing.

 

(Avion)

"Go grab that little filly before she runs off to far, there is something in there watching us"

 

(Bio)

"you sure about that?" looking up towards the forest.

 

(Avion)

'just go and get her" keeping her voice calm, to avoid worrying the other

 

(Bio)

"Alright alright Im going" and with that she trotted off after the little filly.

[Cherry Blossom 864]

Cherry Blossom finished unpacking all of her things into the tent. Then she went outside to see what was happening. She wanted to help with making dinner so she tried to find Flame Dancer. "Captain. Would it be alright if I assisted you in some way at all?"

Star Keeper wandered closer to the camp. He could hear his name called by Harp, who didn't seem too far away by the sound of it. He followed her voice till he saw her searching along the shore line. Star Keeper trotted up next to her and made himself known.

 

"Didn't miss me too much, did you?"

Flame was about to gallop right by Cherry Blossom but then she spoke.

"Oh... I just heard Harp yell but... I think Bio has gone to get her." He said watching the big pegasus trot down the beach towards harp.

"Um, Anyway. I was just collecting some firewood so we could make dinner. I would love a hoof with that." He said, turning around to face the dark forest.

 

(OOC: So I am thinking of making it a forest instead of a tropical jungle... I dunno, I think a forest sounds more creepy. What do you guys think ?)

Harp looked at him."I kinda did miss you i was worried that you mite have gotten lost, i am sorry if i didn't stay were you told me to stay". Harp let her head down to show her disappointment for not doing as she was told to do , she like star keeper but she didn't know if he liked her.

Cherry Blossom nodded, and began to pick up some twigs and bark near a tree. It was almost out in the open, but it seemed safe enough to go to. "So are we venturing into the woods tomorrowor today captain?" she asked, looking back at the ominous looking trees.

 

((OOC: I think it should be a forest. Besides, palm trees don't look very intimidating.))

Bio saw Harp and star just up the shore line, slowly walking over to them, muttering to herself about how the mask around her face was getting to tight.

 

As she got closer to the two ponies, out of the corner of her eye she notice something move, not wanting to take any chances, she galloped upto Star and Harp "GET BACK TO THE CAMP"

Her eyes turned blue as she soaked up what little magic was around.

 

"I am not going to say it again, MOVE!"

(OOC: IT IS NOW A FOREST NOT A JUNGLE. Also remember the monsters only really become active at night... which it will be very very soon.)

 

"Um... Tomorrow." Flame said, staring into the forest again. "Um... Cherry, This is going to sound a little strange but... Does the forest seem almost... like its watching us ?" He asked, picking up a big log then trotting next to Cherry Blossom.

 

The sun had almost fully set, and a light rain has just started.
