Fiction Review and pre-reading services:

Recommended Posts

If you're familiar with the fanfiction review community at Ponychan and the pre-reading process that refers aspiring authors to the individual reviewers, you may be aware that the reviewers are in the process of moving to a new location with more resources available to them. The fanfiction board of MLPchan.net will host the various reviewers who help authors edit and revise their works before submitting them to fanfiction hosting sites like Equestria Daily and Fimfiction.net, and help them craft better stories to contribute to our wonderful fandom. If you're an author and you'd like someone to take a look at your stories for review, grammar, narrative, etc., they'll be available to go over your stories with you. Please be sure to check out the guidelines in the sticky so you get the most out of these valuable resources.

I should add:

The new "Training Grounds" thread is http://mlpchan.net/fic/res/525.html

The new Reviewer Directory can be found: http://mlpchan.net/fic/res/158.html#159

As always make sure to read the sticky for guidelines.

Definitely looks interesting, and kind of makes me wish I knew how to use those kinds of boards. Have little to no experience with them which is a definite downfall. The Synopsis thread, I guess thread, looks like it's definitely up my alley since I seem to have trouble writing those as well.

It takes a little bit of getting used to, but with the features of the site, it's kind of a hybrid of an imageboard and a forum. The threads last a little longer than in other imageboards, and it works just a little more like a message board (other than that you don't have to register.)

If you ever need help, there's an IRC linked in the sticky that always has people in it to answer questions, and the staff is easily reachable. And most of the reviewers have been doing it for quite a while, some of them helping writers write six-star stories on EqD (back when it had the star system.)
