Strawberry Tart 161 November 24, 2012 Share November 24, 2012 Last time I thought about this, I contemplated killing myself, because really, what's the point of it all if we all die anyway? And we're so small, we don't impact the universe at all! We could even be not real; it doesn't matter, does it? Most likely there is another planet out there with intelligent life but I don't see us reaching it in my lifetime. So what's the point? Even someone like Adele or Gandhi or Martin Luther King or Marilyn Monroe...someone who's had a big impact on the world, only has a big impact on the WORLD. Nothing else. So what is the point of living? We should all just become selfish bitches/dicks and not care about anyone else. BECAUSE WHY DOES IT MATTER? Now that I've put it into perspective for you, enjoy the rest of your life as a useless being Credit to MatrixChicken for Signature Credit to Генерал Четник for Avatar
Lightning Fluttershy 1,844 November 24, 2012 Share November 24, 2012 Two years ago I spent an entire summer just sitting in a chair thinking about this... and it's not worth it. I hate thinking about this. As much as it intrigues me and I want the answer, there is NO answer. Thinking about it for too long can do some bad things to your mind. I was pretty sure I was going insane that summer. I was having a lot of very paranoid thoughts at that time, a lot of them depressing too. I just stopped looking for the answer because I'm never going to get it. No human ever is. I pretty much just accepted that there really isn't any major point to life or any real answer to existence. In other words, I gave up and I think it saved my mind.

Harmonic Revelations 8,835 November 24, 2012 Share November 24, 2012 The universe exists but we can never know it's true form for we were created by the universe the universe was not created by us. The universe's true form will never be known. We humans are too corrupted by what is inside of us to experience things for what they are. And often I think that the world is better off when we don't know what it's really like. But all that matters is that we do our part. We give the universe what we owe it. We give everyone else all we can because other people are really the only other beings in the universe who could possibly understand you for who you are. Life is like a box of chocolates. It's overpriced, tastes sweet but has a sour aftertaste, and in the end only leaves you wanting more.
Smokey the mudkip 52 November 24, 2012 Share November 24, 2012 Oh, I always think of this! I mean, I love coming up with random ideas on in subject :3 then I usually come up with a short story about it ^^" but my favorite idea is that we're all in a video game x3 I know this is not true, but I think it would be awesome x3 lol, (but really, who would want to play a video game about a random shy kid?) Oh, and I also think of my life as a book, like, I want to know what will happen in the end, and that's what I think about when ever I feel sad! And stuff x3 Did that make any sense what-so-ever? Because I was kinda just.ranting about randomness "It needs to be about 20% cooler "I'd like to be a tree! "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye! Now that I've put it into perspective for you, enjoy the rest of your life as a useless being There was a man back in '95 Whose heart ran out of summers But before he died, I asked him Wait, what's the sense in life Come over me, Come over me He said, Son why you got to sing that tune Catch a Dylan song or some eclipse of the moon Let an angel swing and make you swoon Then you will see... You will see Then he said, Here's a riddle for you Find the Answer There's a reason for the world You and I... Picked up my kid from school today Did you learn anything cause in the world today You can't live in a castle far away Now talk to me, come talk to me He said, Dad I'm big but we're smaller than small In the scheme of things, well we're nothing at all Still every mother's child sings a lonely song So play with me, come play with me And Hey Dad Here's a riddle for you Find the Answer There's a reason for the world You and I... I said, Son for all I've told you When you get right down to the Reason for the world... Who am I? There are secrets that we still have left to find There have been mysteries from the beginning of time There are answers we're not wise enough to see He said... You looking for a clue I love you free... The batter swings and the summer flies As I look into my angel's eyes A song plays on while the moon is high Over me Something comes over me I guess we're big and I guess we're small If you think about it man you know we got it all Cause we're all we got on this bouncing ball And I love you free I love you freely Here's a riddle for you Find the Answer There's a reason for the world You and I
duckishponyish 8 November 24, 2012 Share November 24, 2012 well i sometime think about this theory and it makes me paranoid that the universe isnt endless because then what is after "nothing"(sounds crazy right?)what is after the universe?more universes?then what is after that...honesty it scares me to think of what would happen if it was not endless...its hard to explain XD
Commander Urdnot 2,680 November 24, 2012 Share November 24, 2012 Does it really matter what life is? I'd want to experience life. Not spend it all trying to figure out what it is. Is it an illusion? Is it real? Is it something else? It doesn't matter to me. I'm in it for the ride.
Jack Durango 119 November 24, 2012 Share November 24, 2012 (edited) We are all children way deep down. When you lose the fascination of childhood and discover the grave truths of the world, it becomes your duty to preserve these truths, and make them appear as wonders to the next generation. "The best place to teach philosophy is not the university but the elementary school; and the ideal student of philosophy is the child from 8 to 12. It is he, not you or I, who wonders about the world." —Clifton Fadiman Edited November 24, 2012 by Jack Durango
Fridge 382 November 24, 2012 Share November 24, 2012 That happened in the remake of Dawn of the Dead, if that's the movie you're referring to. I wouldn't call that reproducing though. A pregnant mare got bit and turned just before childbirth. Yep you were right, I asked when I was at that convention and they said that too. I kind of half remembered that but wasn't entirely sure. The Girl with the Books 57 December 5, 2012 Share December 5, 2012 I am a butterfly, dreaming a human, while the rest of you remain to be fragments of my shattered mind, trying to make sense of the turmoil that is this false reality. Get used to it. I feast on the words of great authors, Drink the emotions and thoughts of the characters,And sleep only once I am through with all of the stories. It's not the ideas that make books relevant,It's the READERS. Lupus 127 December 5, 2012 Share December 5, 2012 Well, I'm a Christian but that doesn't affect perception of reality. I wouldn't be too surprised to find out that Science was wrong in its perceptions of the vastness of the universe, questions of Infinity etc, tho I'm not really bothered about it - I just find the whole idea of it needs a bigger brain than mine!
