Kapi 217 January 15, 2012 Share January 15, 2012 Just something else.. Sorry its off topic, but I didn't want to create a new thread for something so small, but since I see you remoed the post counter, maybe this will make the side a bit cleaner. Isn't it a bit redundant to have, let's say for you, the Admin group image () AND the Administrators text in Blue? Same with staff members, it has the staff image and the green Moderators text. Also, its been a long time since I've used Invision, but what do the little dots mean? Is that some kind of indicator for how many posts you made or something? Keeping individual topics on-topic is far more important than limiting the number of threads. So I've split your post off, as it has nothing to do with the topic you posted it in. There is also no suggestion too small. The blue "Administrators" text serves to show what group a member is in. It could be "Blank Flank", "Member", "Donor", "Premium Donor", "Moderator", or "Administrator". The dots (they're called "pips") and group "badge" are part of the same system, on the other hand. The number of pips shown is determined by your post count, and the badge is an image that can be overriden on a per-group basis. While it's a bit useless for admins and moderators, this allows donors to have their donation tier ("Donor" or "Premium Donor") displayed and still rank up with the same pips as all standard members. Admins and mods get a special badge instead of those. On the note of pips, we're currently working on replacing the "pip ranks" with pony-themed ranks. I just didn't want to feel like I'm spamming the board with something that, to me, is kind of dumb. But anyway, thanks for explaining that. I was confused about that, I never really paid attention to them, haha. "No, I am not going to run, I am not going to hide, I am going to take a stand and fight!"
