OC / First pony art

So I got bored of asking and paying for commissions and even though I had absolute no experience in drawing and jazz I went ahead and downloaded the 30-day trial of Photoshop since I heard it was really easy to use. Well, Day 1 of my adventure besides me not being able to talk because I was sick, but learning where everything is. Today I learned a bit more and decided to make my OC some actual art of her own. I took a rarity trace and kept the eyes and body pose but the rest is mine including the background. This was made as a logo for my channel (TFP for short) so yea there is a day and night version (I personally like the night better.)

This is great! I love her colors!

 

I personally use loose bases all the time, there really shouldn't be any shame of that, but I do the eyes, mane, tail, and any accessories on my own. Small art dump in the spoiler.

Great, the colors are pretty awesome. Though the mane is a little strange, as it is blurry on the outside. Usually with manes you'll not see it blurry unless the entire drawing is blurry as well. Other then that it is a pretty good piece of art.

good, but use layers, you'll avoid overlapping XD also, turn up the smoothing on whatever tool you used, to avoid the rough lines

She's cute! Just keep practicing on using techniques and refining some of the edges and in time, the artwork will be perfect! I'd love to read a back story on her, her name and such! :3

Yes practise is a good way to learn a program, also if you need a good program after PS times out the latest version of GIMP is really good. It finally works right with my tablet. Oh and a good program to do ponies in is Inkscape at http://www.inkscape.org/

 

I like the colors of the pony they work well together.
