well i was just thiking about how pinkie pie hides things all over ponyville so she could have hid that book incase of ninja donkey messing with my memory emergancy or somthing like that or did twilight and spike hide it because it was dangerous or was it there before the libary

That is an excellent question, that was left completely unanswered. My theory is that years ago something similar to this happened when someone read about the pond in the book, so whoever was librarian hid the book for the safety of the town. It is curious

 

Probably should have hid the book with the ridiculously easy to make love potion too though

Don't forget, even though it is now her home, the library is and has been open to the public of Ponyville. There are some books I guess you don't want just anypony to get a hold of. This past episode was a pretty good example.

First off, I don't think Pinkie Pie or Twilight knew about this book. Even thou Pinkie hid's stuff all over town I don't think she would hid a book. Also she would have gone to the library first to remember the tail. Also Twilight did not seem to know about the book and if she did she would know where to look first. Twilight is still new to the town, so there could be other stuff that she does not know about yet.

well pinkie pie is random and she says here it is like she knew there was a book but she couldnt rember where she put it..........

That hidden book might be foreshadowing that the library holds a fair amount of secrets, and that is why Celestia sent her to live there. So I don't think even Pinkie new about that.

maybe but it seems like pinkie pie knows alot about the libary and ponyville with her memory and all shes got to know alo that she doesnt say she might have saw it but already knew the legend it seems like she might have looked for places to hide things so would have checked everywhere
