Vicke 3,189 November 18, 2012 Share November 18, 2012 Looks good! For being your first time, its really good! Maybe you should have made his headset a little bigger so it covers his ear more. Other then that, i can't find any complaint. Signature made by Kyoshi
Dusty Soul 2,613 November 18, 2012 Share November 18, 2012 (edited) Well that is INSANLY good for a first. The back legs are the only things that are bugging me. They look WAY too straight, they probably should be more curvy. Reversalx 129 November 18, 2012 Share November 18, 2012 Did you draw with a reference? if not, the DO SO XD you'll get the proportions spot on For the picture, the wings are too big(unless you wanted them to be), and the body is a bit long (hence why you struggled with the flank ) Other then that, its awesome for your first pony art! Reversalx 129 November 18, 2012 Share November 18, 2012 No I didn't have a reference, I'll just call this my own style! Haha I generally do realism, I did my best to avoid the first generation style too. I realized the wings are big, but I didn't want to try again. They either end up scrawny or fluffy, and fluffy is nice. Thanks for the advise though, I will try to use a reference and see how that goes. Ah i see, well if realism is what your going for, (i dont do realism at all XD) draw with reference in mind, then deviate from the mlp style to your own 1 "Colorful Rainbows catch my eye, as i see you fly across the sky. ~SadisticFluttershy~ 779 November 18, 2012 Share November 18, 2012 It looks good, better than my first drawing.. kind of inbetween, But the legs are a bit big, and the back leg is big 2. Everything else looks good, except the legs and the hoofs, that's about it buddy. Just keep on drawing my friend! (: 1 Thanks MiniKirby! It's soooooo awesome! If we ought to put realism and MLP together, it ought to look something comparable to this: Source: http://fav.me/d4fjeda That's something I could call realism, putting aside the exaggerated features and outlines looking at a few photos of actual horses. You have to be a savant to be able to draw realism without heavily relying on references, just sayin'. My deviantArt page
Jokuc 8,174 November 18, 2012 Share November 18, 2012 It's pretty good I guess. You don't have to worry that it looks like a g1,2 or 3 because it doesn't, though I can't really tell if it's a mare or stallion. Also, the leg to the left is a little bit too thick at the top which kinda make it looks like a cowleg or something.
CrystalRose 636 November 19, 2012 Share November 19, 2012 I really like this! The back legs are a little too straight, and one thing I'm definitely sure of is that I'm a fan of the large wings. It's a great style! I think though, whilst the wings themselves are a great size, the feathers are a little too large. Wings have feathers of a variety of sizes, but none of them are as large as that. They are also usually longer than they are wide. I love practicing drawing wings, and there are so many poses you can put ponies in to get some good wing angles. <3 I love this, you have a great style and I really want to see more of your character! ~DeviantArt~ ~ Taking commissions ~
