(lol - nope. Looks like Random event - 2 to 1 in favor of random event. I'll let this cook over night. I intended to start this ball rolling this morning, but I got pulled away by some work that I had to spend most the day on. I guarantee I can start this one tomorrow. As soon as I get up, I'll do whatever the vote is in favor of).

 

Melody shyly stuck her leg with the pipbuck back over the water, instantly pulling back as it clicked again. "Radiation?" she read off the dial. She looked up at Autumn. "Is that not one of the dangerous side affects of megaspells?"

"Yes. Unfortunatly, at the time my books were written, not much was known about weaponized Balefire. What we do know is it leaks radiation, which can severly harm you on a cellular level. No pony knows what causes it, but if there is radiation out here, be have to be very careful not to get exposed to radiation in heavy doses. Give me a moment." He pulled up a medical text on his Pipbuck Oh good. I did bring it after all. "'Symptoms vary according to levels of exposure. Can include Nausia and Vomiting, Diarrhea, Headache, and Fever. More severe symptoms include Dizzyness and Disorientation, Weakness or Fatigue, Hairloss, Infections, Poor Wound Healing, and Low Blood Pressure.' We will want to stay away from anything our Pipbucks negativly react to."

 

(Sorry, I was gone yesterday. About the voting, I don't really care. I say either reach the town or have an event.)

Gizmo steps into the puddle and looks at the color. "But why is the color light green? Doesn't green mean that it's good?" He pulls it out a second later; if he was wrong, he'd rather not take chances.

"No. Green is just the color of enchanted fire, Balefire. It is still pretty dangerous, even after over 200 years."

"I think it jut means the radiation is at a low level Gizmo" said Strong Hooves, avoiding more puddles as he walked along.

Gizmo gave him a quick nod and resolved not to step into any more puddles. "So what color would it be if the water's clean to drink from?"

Strong Hooves shrugged, "maybe it just won't click when it's safe, what do you think Mr. Autumn?"

"Probably. The Geiger counter detects radiation. When it clicks, it means that it senses radiation. Green means a little radiation, red means a lot of radiation. If it doesn't click, it means radiation is so little that it won't harm us, and that it's safe."

(I was reading random stuff on the wiki. I had no idea the FoE universe was so detailed. I think I have an okay idea of what's going on, though.)

 

Sigh was already up ahead and beckoned for them. "We should probably hurry till we're away from here. You're fresh out of the stable, so even small amounts of radiation would probably start to mess with you." He grimaced. "All the rads start to add up, and before you know it, you're slowly dying."

"yup. Just like everything else." Sigh said in a cheery voice. "I've been attacked by plants a few times. That was certainly weird."

(I was reading random stuff on the wiki. I had no idea the FoE universe was so detailed. I think I have an okay idea of what's going on, though.)

 

(It's a great story, but it is the size of a full length novel. It took me at least a month to read. I need to try out some of the side stories soon.)

(So sorry >.< Can't play this right now. I'd REALLY like to get this going the way I had originally planned, it was all planned out ot be awesome in my mind and all, but I just haven't had the time. I've been much to busy on another couple RPs that I place before this one simply because they came first and they will until they die, then this will be first. Besides that, I've also been knee deep in Midterms this week and to celebrate the occasion, my parents have grounded me for missin 1 assignment! I can only access the internet from school, at a limited speed from my mobile and only while teachers aren't looking, and from the public library - which limits all users to 1 hour of internet access a day. Currently working on destroying this limit or getitng myself an admin account, but until that time, or when this grounding lifts (presumably next friday), I will have extremely limited access and little to no time anyways.)

(WHAT'S THIS?!? ACED ALL MY MIDTERMS YOU SAY? THAT'S RIGHT BITCHES! And that's all it took to win back my parents and re-establish the flow of the interwebz to the dry river bed. Full time internet now, so I'll be kicking this back up. As long as there are players to play this one, there will be me to lead it. I'm going over the last few pages now to get a hold on what was going on, then I'll post the next bit to get things back on track.)

(OK - I'm gonna be deleting this poll and throwing up a new one - Do you mind me ninjaing the FoE story a bit? It wouldn't be the same, but I would be ninjaing watcher and that bit. Anyways - I'll just be throwing in a bit o' combat here.)

 

A short whiles off from the group, a party of three ponies lay prone on a hill. "What do we got?" asked one.

 

The one in the middle smiled and removed his eye from the scope of his high powered rifle. "Seven ponies, six with pipbucks. I'm willin' to bet that stable finally cracked open. Easy pickings and good loot," he said with glee.

 

"Should we get the others?" asked the third to the sniper's left without removing her eyes from her binoculars.

 

"Naw, stable dwellers are easy pickings. Plus we'd have to split the money with them if more came with."

 

"Alright. Let's give them another moment or two to get within our effective range, then pick them off one by one."

"Plants!?! What the hell? Even vegetation out here is deadly?" Melody asked in awe. She started to continue to travel towards the town Sigh had pointed them towards, and away from the potentially deadly water. "Anything else we should expect to kill us that's not deadly in a stable? Stones perhaps?"
