Sky stood up and took a step towards Krystal. "There is only one mare in the world who I want to kiss." Sky said as he hugged Krystal. "And that is you. I love you Krystal. It's just sometimes you drive me absolutely crazy." Sky said as he stroked Krystal's mane to calm her down. "Just... Think sometimes okay?"

It couldn't feel any worse than what she had heard. Rockshire started to tear up even more, her voice starting to break.

 

"Ok..."

 

She decided to head to the pool, and as she entered, she started crying. She had only entered the pool so her tears could merge with the pool water...

Krystal shrilly breathed in with overwhelming relief at Sky's acceptance of her apology "Yes Sky, yes. I promise I'll think of you. Every second of every day I'll think of you. You're my life Sky and I love you" she hugged him back and cried into his shoulder, but now they were tears of happiness and relief.

"Maybe, not that much." Sky joked to try and lighten the mood. Sky stood there hugging Krystal for a while. "Maybe we should go get back inside?" Sky suggested. He was no longer annoyed with Krystal and was willing to give her a second chance. Krystal had been his friend for such a long time there was no point in ruining their relationship over a kiss.

Descant felt horrible. He had just tried to explain his dilemma. He hadn't meant to upset Rockshire farther. Deciding he would probably just make things worse by approaching her again at the moment, he decided to go back downstairs. He seemed to remember seeing el Musico disappearing back into the house, and wanted his advice...

"Yeah... yeah let's go do that" she wiped her eyes and started to walk back with her hoof around his back, a mellow smile of endless relief on her face. She glanced over and saw Rockshire crying in the pool "Hey... should we go talk to her?" she was a little nervous to have suggested such to Sky. The last thing she wanted was to remind him what had caused this whole horrible dilemma in the first place.

"Uhhmmm... Sure." Sky said he was little bit weary of Krystal's suggestion but he went along with it anyway. He then walked over to the edge of the pool and leant down towards Rockshire. "Hey, uhh Rockshire. Are you okay?" Sky asked her feeling kind of awkward.

Star Keeper didn't like this very much. Everything seemed to happening around him while he sat on the sidelines and watched, again. Why does everyone have it out for the gay guy? Oh well, might as well find something to entertain me. There was the pool, which I haven;t had a chance to properly enjoy as of yet. Might as well go take a dive. I wonder if they have a diving board?

Rockshire's crying was starting to subside a bit once Sky and Krystal walked over to her.

 

"Well, no... No, I'm not OK... I got the less satisfactory result out of me and Krystal... He said he needed time to think, but I know that's just a excuse to say he's dumping me.", she said through hiccuping from her sobs.

It was Krystal's turn to be the comforting one "Hey, you don't know that. If he said he needed more time to think than maybe he needed more time to think. I'm sure he's just confused from what's happened, that's all. Give him some time to sort things out and go back to him and explain it. I'll go with you if you need me to" she extended a hoof and rested it on her shoulder, but making sure not to get too close what with Sky watching.

"Yeah, I do... I've heard enough stallions say that to me, and then I don't even see them anymore... This is going to be another obvious case..."

 

Rockshire covered her face with her wet hooves.

 

"Maybe I should just switch to being with mares... At least THEY don't seem to push me aside..."

"Hey, wait a dam second. Not all stallions are like that." Sky said rather offended by Rockshire's comment. "Take me for example. Just because you are an apparent 'attractive' mare means that pricks are going to be attracted to you. You just got to give some nice guy a chance, or fight for the right to stay with Descant."

"I don't know if you've noticed, Sky, but most colts are in fact complete idiots. I am happy to admit that a good proportion of males are stupid, but that isn't to say the same doesn't apply to mares. This evening was just a combination of stupid decisions on everyponies behalf, including my own. Can we drop the whole "Oh those colts" and "Maybe I should stick with mares" thing. It's getting really annoying. Now if you'll excuse me there is a diving board with my name on it."

Descant stopped his blundering about through the house, facehoofing. Why am I searching for him when I can just listen? He boosted his hearing to the inside of the house (His guilt would not allow him to listen in on the roof) and he located El Musico with nearly no trouble. He went to where the Spaniard sat, and waited for him to notice Descant's presence.

El músico sat up when Descant arrived, sleep only lingering in El músico's mind. "Well, I see you came downstairs, but without Rockshire. What happened this time?" It was actually starting to worry El músico how much time Descant was spending without Rockshire now. Clearly, something else had happened, or Descant simply wasn't ready to take an apology.

"It's just..." Descant hesitated briefly, trying to organise his thoughts. "You seem to know mares far better than I do. And you're approachable. So, I thought I'd come to you for advice..." Descant relays what has happened so far, including Rockshire's admittance of doing it for revenge at first, and along with his doubts, to Musico. "I guess... I was just wondering what you'd do if you were in my hooves."

El músico already knew exactly what he wanted to ask. "How long have you known Rockshire? Just tonight, or is tonight just an extension of an earlier relationship." His answer varied if he was given a different answer. One thing was strange to him too. He seemed to be treated like 'the wise one', even though these actions were actually customary in his old country.

"I only just met her tonight. But she is a relatively well-known artist of whom I was unknowingly a fan of for some time. Not sure if that really makes a difference," Descant said uncertainly. He wondered what el Músico was going to suggest he do. Although, since Músico had asked how long... He thought he knew Músico's answer...

"I wonder if you already know my answer, but you should probably leave her be for now, unless you feel the need to talk to her, which is also fine, and eventually it'll come back to you if you two think you need each other." El músico personally didn't want to continue anymore, as it was making him feel exhausted and strange to be giving advice to an Equestrian friend about an Equestrian mare.

Krystal decided that she was going to fix this. Now. "I'll be right back" she said, getting up "You can stay here if you want Sky. Or come along. Whatever you want to do. I'm going to go play cupid" and with that, she was down the stairs. She didn't want to leave Sky after all that had happened but she owed it to Rockshire to fix her relationship. Once downstairs she located Descant sitting in a La-Z-Colt next to El Musico. She trotted over to him and said "Descant, I'm sorry about what happened but we need to talk."

Descant had just been thanking El Musico for his help, and had been about to get up to walk back upstairs, still in deliberation, when Krystal approached him. 

"Descant, I'm sorry about what happened but we need to talk."

He looked at her curiously. "Well, alright." He said, trying to keep the tone of his voice neutral. He got up, ready to follow her, assuming she wanted the conversation to be private.

"Alright" she took a deep breath and gathered her thoughts "I know your mad at Rockshire for what she did but let me tell you this: what happened didn't mean anything. It was just a game that got out of hoof. She's probably more disgusted at herself than you are of her" she paused and added "I know I am." she admitted "Rockshire is a beautiful, talented and overall great mare and you'd be lucky to have her. Don't let one little screw up on her side ruin something that could blossom into something better than you could have ever imagined. Now please" she gestures towards the stairs "go up there and accept her apology. Then we can all forget that this ever happened." she smiled.

"You think I'm mad at Rockshire?" Descant goggled at Krystal. "I'm not mad at her. Never. Not at her. I've already forgiven her. And it's not you I'm mad at, either." Descant said in a wilted voice. "I'll go talk to her. Although I don't know what good it'll do." He started towards the stairs, convinced Krystal would stop him to try and get him to explain.

Krystal just stared at him as he walked up the stairs, a little annoyed at herself "He's not mad? Then what the buck did I come down here for?" she facehoofed and decided that she'd go on upstairs to see what was going to happen. She didn't want to disturb him on his way up so she went out onto the patio overlooking the sea and flew up to the roof, peeking her head over the edge of the infinity pool with a great view of Rockshire and Sky.

Descant walked dejectedly up the stairs. He walked over to where Rockshire was, and eased into the water beside her, to look her in the eyes. "I'm sorry," he said simply. "I was never angry with you. I'm sorry." He looked into her watery eyes with his own, which were in the same watery state.
