Meta yanked his sword out of the ground, totally drained by the energy output. "Gust...? Who is... this..." His vision faded. He dropped his sword and shield, and he fell onto the ground, unconscious.

(OOC: If you remove his mask, he's a changeling. I'd prefer that not to happen.)

Collision ran to Meta, and sat next to his unconscious body. All traces of humour gone from his voice, he looked up to the others, speaking seriously, and in slight fear. "If those guys were strong enough to fight all of you... and survive... then they must be really powerful!" he glanced down at Meta. "I hope he's okay..." then the colt jumped back to his feet, energy returning, and he dashed back over to the others, screeching to a halt in front of them. "Star! Thunder! Topaz! Uh.. Gust! You're okay!!" he smiled warmly. "You really gave those baddies a run for their money! I wish I could have helped more..." he looked absent-mindedly over the town. "But they tore this place apart... there's fire everywhere..."

Star Rain was shocked when Meta Knight blacked out. When she heard Collision say that he didn't contribute much, she said,"You helped us by letting Thunder know where we were. If you didn't do that, we probaly could've died!" Looking toward the burning village, she said,"I'm skilled with water magic. I'll take care of it." With that, she casted some water orb spells on the buildings and broke the orbs apart once the fire was out. She moved on to other houses and did the same thing until the fires were all out. This costed her the rest of her magical energy and she staggered back to the place the others were and ate one of the apples she brought with her. She found that apples help in restoring magic energy. When it was all ate up, she felt strong again.

Tondrak had returned to the hideout inside the mountains. His magical struggle agaisnt meta knight had taking alot out of him. He was pacing around one of his zombies, he was in a bad mood. "He managed to hold his own agaisnt me, im going to kill him...IM GOING TO KILL THEM ALL." He turned to his zombie and incinerated it, out of frustration. "...I'll start by bringing back my new ally, flare."

A shadow shifted, and a shadowy figure stepped in front of Tondrak -  the same one that entered the cave earlier. He made a long, respectful bow, and, keeping his eyes locked with his, said, "Greetings, King Tondrak of the School of Necromancy. I have a request for you." He took a deep breath. "I am a representative of the mighty Changeling Empire, a powerful- although barren- kingdom to the north, as well as their queen, Chrysalis. We have heard of your strength, and request to be allies with one so powerful." He bowed again. "And I present a two gifts- my service- I well equal the power of the one called Riloquequ- and a powerful artifact that we have discovered in our travels." He took out a black, leather-bound book. "Behold... the final key to your true power..."

(Also known as a plot twist. It is your book, discorded. Enjoy.)

Star Rain pulled out a torn piece of paper that was inside one of the spell books she saved from burning up. It just so turned out to be the piece torn from her mythology book! After using a reattachment spell to connect the piece back to its page, she read the whole story of Tondrak and the Mad Flare King. It was so shocking that Star Rain staggered back and fell down leaning against the tree.

Thunder turned towards Star Rain as she staggered back, alarmed and concerned. What was in that book that could be so shocking as to make her react that way? Would things ever calm down, at least for a few minutes?

"Are you all right Star? What just happened?"

"I-I found that missing piece of that page in my mythology book. Y-you have to read it!" she stammered. It told the story of the reign of the Mad Flare King and Tondrak. It explained in great detail how their terrible rule had almost wiped out all rational minds through necromancy until somepony named Riloquequ came and sealed them both away. It also listed the requirements for their awakening and their restoration, most of which had already been met, along with how to seal them away again. What shocked her about it was that the horrific legend was going to come back to life!

Meta Knight slowly regained consciousness. "Ungh... Haven't been this tired for years..." He staggered up, took out a staff, and, leaning on it, recovered his sword and hobbled over to the others. "Why are we all gathered around here...? Ah. You found..." His eyes glowed as he examined the page. He stepped back. "Riloquequ wasn't a pony... that much I know. I was able to meet him." He sighed. "What he was, I'm not saying, as it would... probably tarnish his honor and good intentions."

Thunder shook his head, "Well, this looks very, very bad. I don't think we're going to be able to take care of this on our own. If they raise an army, we'll need more than just the few of us to take them on. We should fall back and try to find help. But on the other hand we need to act fast before the two of them return to full power. So, I guess it's up to you guys, what's our next move?"

while the flames rose from the burning village, Nameless got the rest of the villager ponies who hadn't been caught already by the zombies and got them to an area in the woods where they could avoid the hoard. once done, he realised that he had been separated from the others...

finally alone again, he relaxed and decided to go back to his original plan - find out what was going on by himself by going to the source..in other words - the mountain.

climbing up he summoned his magic, feeling his restricting chains tighen in warning, as they always did, using his shadow magic was dangerous for the barriers that had been set in his mind before he had been banished from his homelands. The barriers that kept him calm...and bored.

The shadows swallowed him, melding his form with the shadows on the cliffside. It was a place between dimentions; turning the world around him gray and dull to his sight, and rendering him invisible from the sight of others.

Thus concealed, he made his way to the cave where the zombies trouped towards, they couldn't see him, of course, but any sound he made was covered by thier own noise - zombies weren't the quietest creatures - the moaning of thier captured souls that were tormented with the un-death they didn't deserve along with their own clopping hoofs as the stumbled to thier masters call.

Hearing voices, he followed them until he saw a gathering, this time of obvious non-zombies. Nameless tucked himself away in a racky outcropping as he looked on; a dark creature was offering his services on behalf of a Queen Chrysalis..the name wasn't familiar to him, but the gift he gave the skeleton was definately interesting as was the crowned skeleton himself..Nameless felt a strange sensation in his mind - something he had thought long frozen - interest! This was interesting! he leaned closer and slithered into the shadows of a bigger rock near the very bottom of the outcrop, as close as he could without leaving the shadows.

"I say we act now while somepony carries a message over to the princess. Preferably a pegasus," Star Rain replied looking over at Gust. "Judging by the fact that we all survived this attack, we'll be strong enough to take them on again!" she said. Yeah, I definitely trust them all now. Now is the time I leave my old life behind! she thought with a glint of determination in her indigo eyes.

(OOC: S**t just got real, Chrysalis, Tondrak, Flare, and a couple others all working together. This is gonna be big)

"An alliance with the changelings? That would work perfectly to futher both are goals, and giving me my book to sweeten the deal, very well. Let your queen know about the new alliance." Tondrak took his book and began to laugh. "Haahaha. At last im at my full power, this is perfect!" Tondrak felt the pressence of another person nearby. Tondrak used telekenesis to pull Nameless out of the shadows and into the open. "Who are you and why are you spying on me?"

Nameless was wrenched out of the shadows and reformed, it hurt! but his interest level increaced; he hadn't been forced from his own spell since his Master had last trained him as a colt!

He gathered himself together as he stood and shook off his hood, revealing his face: he only had one ear - the other in tatters and a scar ran through his left eye, matching the scars on the rest of his body. He faced the skeletal stallion square on, unafraid..rather..curious.

His head tilted slightly as he considered the questions. "I do not know my name...rather I am Nameless..as good a name as any I suppose. I am not spying, as that would require me to report to someone...You seem interesting...so I followed you here."

He pulled back one fore-leg and stretched out his neck in a slight bow, "You seem to be gathering for something, and I am simply curious...." he looked at the stallion from under his bangs, "are you still looking for allies?"

Gust nodded, and Topaz quickly wrote up a letter he could take to her. His legs were hurt, but his wings worked well enough.

Within the mountain base, the magic had been completed. A large unicorn began to slowly rise from the magical pool in the center of the room. His red mane hung down past his shoulders, and the darkness of  it contrasted with his pale white body. His cutie mark depicted a flare bursting in the air.  He rose out, and slowly stepped on to the floor, for the first time in a years.

"You have done well."said Flare to a crowd of cultists. "I assume you are Tondrak?" he said to Tondrak.

"Yes i am, it is good to finaly meet you king flare. We have just made an alliance with the changelings..." Tondrak glanced at Nameless. "... and have found an interesting new ally, he is known by nameless. I can scence that he is quite strong in dark magic... Now what do you wish to do now that you have returned?"

Nameless bowed to the new unicorn, pleased to have been witness to such a powerfull magics completion. Powerfull magics had always been of interest to him, one of the reasons he had been exiled in the first place - he didn't care about the consequenses or who got hurt..He paused in that thought..he hadn't remembered that before..He rose again and glanced down at the Chains on his neck and legs, beginning to understand thier full purpose at last. mentally Cursing them and his former master who had put them there  he turned back to the present and the new unicorn stallion  before him. White and blazing red; pure colours that hid no intentions, with clear blue eyes. A very handsome stallion indeed, unlike his own dark moody grey crossed with scars and scratches and electric blue eyes that hid behind bangs and hooded eyes. once again, he felt an unfamiliar thrill through him - another emotion. It seemed he was feeling more with these dark Folk then in all his days of wandering the nations since his exile. His master had been correct - he was of the darkness and it controlled him just as he controlled it. there was no separation of the two.

What had the skeleton called this one? King Flare? Flare...with a fire mark..his facial muscles relaxed very so slightly. where there was a fire there were shadows. It seemed Fate had twisted in his favor this time....

The shadowy figure seemed to recoil. "King Flare...? I haven't heard of that since... since..." His eyes widened, and then he returned to his original pose. "I assume you remember my... obnoxious goody four hooves twin." He bowed deeply. "I wish to prevent this from happening again."

Meta sighed. "You may be ready, but I need a place to rest." He turned back to the village. "If you must go... I will catch up later. That battle... only a few others have taken this much out of me." He hobbled back towards the village.

Collision nodded, "Yeah, we should go and fight the.... wait... did you just say deliver a message to  Celestia?" his eyes clouded over, and he looked into the distance smiling in wonder. "As in... Princess Celestia? But she's a princess!!!" he started to bounce excitedly. "Mememememe!!!! Send me! I'll deliver it!!!"

A dark spirit floated out from the body of Flare, and he fell over like a ragdoll, his eyes lifeless. "Sorry, I find that body quite limiting, even if it is powerful." The spirit floated freely throughout the room, it's purple eyes barely shining, being mostly smothered by its own darkness.  Cerulean entered the room, and bowed to Flare. "My lord, it is good to see you once more." The spirit looked around the room, seemingly searching for something. "Where is Gust? I cannot sense him. Well, I suppose we can discuss that later. What is the situation?"  "We are nearby a small village, one we thought would be a perfect place to start our conquest. But something is wrong, they managed to defeat Gust." "So that is why I cannot sense him... well, he wasn't very strong anyway, we have no need for one as weak as him. Ah, but I shouldn't forget our new ally. You are skilled in magic? Of what sorts?" The spirit had finished moving about the room, and re-entered Flare. Flare shot back up, as if nothing had happened.

Nameless arched his neck down once more, hiding amusment at the restless spirit and his popping in and out of his host body, he knew little about this Gust and even less about this pale unicorn - she looked frail and tired...except her eyes which were sharp and focused on the possesed unicorn.

He straightened again when those burning eyes focused on him. "I am skilled in Shadow magics, including Hiding, defence and attacking. although...for now I can only use Hiding" he looked away, ashamed to admit such a failing. He cursed again his master Senka who had bound him. Even now, to try to prove his point he attempted to raise the shadows as beings around him and felt the irons that shackled him burn as the wards flared up and glowed in defence. He stopped, sides heaving and legs shaking as blood dripped from the new wounds the burning metal had caused on his forelegs.

Still refusing to lose himself completely before this entity, he continued to stand his ground. The spell had taken a lot out of him this time.

"Forgive my inadequacy...I still hope you can find a use for me.."

"If you really think you can." said Gust. Topaz finished the letter, and gave it to Collision.

"I suppose your magic could be quite useful." said Flare. As he spoke, a luminescent being wandered into the room. it looked like a young mare, but very strangely deformed. Her eyes emitted a bright white light, and she shone a bright yellow. She had a look of greed, control, and desire upon her face. The being slowly creeped forward, lifelessly and tirelessly. A purple maned cultist mare walked behind it, and seemed to stop the beast.

He looked at the young mare. "Hmm... it reminds me of someone... though I cannot remember who..." He shrugs. Then he hit a button.

High above the mountain, the Arcship Demonstone opened it's cargo bay, and several thousand changelings tumbled out of it, onto the mountain. "I leave now to oversee my troops into the mountain."

Meta Knight found his way into Trottingham and then sat down on a bench. He took a few deep breaths, and then began to prepare the powerful magic that might be necessary for the trip. And then... he saw it.

The Arcship Demonstone- The changeling airfleet flagship, captained by... his mirror twin.

Now he had two problems to worry about. The presence of his twin, and the presence of changeings on the mountain...

Collision took the letter with glee, dashing away from the group and from the town itself. He jumped a couple of times to test himself, then bounced off an incline, and straight into the forest below. Replicating his beloved pinball game, Collision bounced and collided in midair with the trees, wall-jumping through the forest with hyperactive abandon. Clear of the woodland, he took a minute to get his bearings.

Except... he didn't have any. Where did Celestia live anyway? It was Canterlot right? But where was Canterlot from here...

Confused and regretting his decision, Collision continued to walk, lost completely on his mission of importance.

Star Rain was about to give directions before Collision sped off. *sigh* I hope he's careful out there... Just then, she heard something and saw an airship and loads and loads of changelings. "Um, guys? I think we're gonna have company! Loads of company!" she said with fear in her voice. Oh please, Collision. Please come back in time!
