gaming Is Sonic 2006 Really Bad?

I've loved the Sonic series for most of my life, but I really can't defend this one. I don't really care about the story...it's just that it was released almost completely broken. If it was a budget release, I could have got over it...but this was a full price game that was obviously unfinished (and there really wasn't any excuse for not patching it).

 

Games are meant to be fun...this is just frustrating.

 

Generations, though? AWESOME.

I'm going to be the odd man out and say, this game...my god. It's bad it's really bad. And I have played it, in fact I've beaten Sonic's Story and Shadow's story and im near the end of Silver's story.

Yes, it's bad.  It's a great example of things you shouldn't do in game design.   Constant forward momentum in air (aka Simon Belmont syndrome), broken abilities, an insane amount of gameplay styles
