Babs Seed and Applebloom - Crusaders Reunited

What's up everypony.

 

I just barely made the deadline for the latest EqD Artist Trainings Grounds, but I got in at just the last minute. Phew!

 

Anyway, thought I'd share my entry with you guys. It's somewhere between tier 1 and tier 2. Not sure Babs counts as a long lost relative, but they're both "dressed up", so at least it hits tier 1. Wanted to do a more detailed or colors piece but I got sidetracked with some fanfic work earlier this evening.

 

Anyway, without further ado:

 

 

Took about 30 minutes.

I like it. Apple Bloom's face is somewhat skewed though. Also, the angle you drew Babs at almost doesn't even look like her. Overall a pretty good drawing for the time spent on it.

I get what you mean. I'm starting to see how wonky Applebloom is. Probably because I was trying to copy a pose from a picture that was mirrored in the opposite direction.

 

Babs was a pose-copy, too. The only parts I really changed on either of them were the brohoofs.

 

Kinda why I want to move away from strictly following the show's pony posing and exact design, and begin to develop my own unique drawing style. A little more artistic license goes a long way.
