writing A Poem From A While Back

[The Stranger 812]

This is a poem I came up with on the 1st of May while in a library waiting for my next college class to start. This poem was for anyone who would take the time to read it. It came from deep within my soul so I didn't just throw it together. I had originally posted it on friendshipismagic.org for people to read but since I'm considering closing my account I thought I'd move it to the MLP Forums since I'm active here. No one talks to me on friendshipismagic.org so I see no reason to keep that account.

Love's embrace takes you in as you avoid your undying sin. Hold your tears for all is right, stand and fight with all your might.

Protect the ones who lack the will, fight for them but not for thrill. Stand before the burning sun for all is good, you shall not run.

No more violence no more pain for all that is love is what we'll gain. Love

To be honest I haven't written a positive poem like this in a while since I currently have my hooves in the Grimdark part of the MLP community. Don't get me wrong, I am completely capable of writing things that aren't Nightmare Fuel or Grimdark material but it's just something I haven't done for some time. 

It took me a while to put this poem up when I originally made it. I question what took me so long up to this day.  <_< 

Go ahead and write what you think the poem is about. i'd like to see what you ponies think. Please be nice.

I LOVE IT!!! Very inspiring, even though it is so short. Sounds like a great 'life motto' kind of thing.

 

I have written poems before...but....they were always....inspired by depression and despair....and far too personal to share or even make sense to anypony but myself. . . . .

 

Still, maybe someday I could give a try at an inspirational poem, like yours! Maybe I could let happiness and friendship inspire my writing, instead of despair.

 

Someday I'll give that a try.

I love this poem... the theme of friends, loss, and fighting for what you believe, these all jump out at me. I don't tend to look too deeply into things, but I feel a bit of resonance from this poem, nicely written.

I love it. A poem that comes from the heart, is the best especially when you look deep inside of yourself.
