Scootaloo - Born To Be Wild

This was inspired by my wing-suit thread in general discussion from yesterday. Here's a link if you don't know what I'm talking about.

 

Anyway, I was thinking about it again today, and it suddenly crossed my mind that I could see Scootaloo putting one of those suits on and doing some extreme flying. It seemed too good not to draw.

 

 

Took about 30 minutes. (EDIT: And I'm just now realizing I should've erased a few lines in this, plus the "x" where I marked where her tail should be. Meh, late-night mistakes.) Will vector tomorrow (later today ).

Had the Steppenwolf song in mind when I thought of the thread title, but Motorhead works so well, too. Hell yeah!

 

Rainbow Dash is best pony.

Scootaloo is best filly.

Wild life is best life.

First off. I love the song. 

 

Secondly, Scootaloo is flying O_o

 

The picture itself is pretty good. I'm not an art expert but you got the legs, the body, the mane and the tail right. The head feels just a little bit weird, can't put my finger on it.

Yeah, the head was the hardest part. Both in getting the right profile, as well as getting it to sit right on her body. But I get ya. I think it's something in the jawline. Keep in mind too that this is supposed to be a little-older version of Scootaloo, in her early-mid teens.

 

Either way I'm sure I'll be able to work it out when I put it through Inkscape.

Not only did I vector it, in fact, but I also added in a Cloudsdale background and some text. Might use it as a wallpaper. Feel free if you want to, too.

I love this!  You did an awesome job!  How many of these do you make? I would like to see more of these wallpapers like this,  especially with scootaloo or rainbow dash  .

That one is actually my first wallpaper. I've done vectors before, though, and with each one I do it with less-and-less references (first ever was a trace from the show, this one was a nearly completely self-figured pose).

 

More will definitely come, though.
