Star didn't understand, being as observant as a post. He inquired what she meant. "I-I'm sorry, I'm not following you." Star took a moment away from acting mopey to look at Cascade, almost shying away a bit after what she said. "What do you mean by 'give me a reason'? It's just who I am; confused about everything."

The cautious side of the argument that was raging in Cascade's head won, and -

 

She sighed. She'd be honest. "Well, maybe... Maybe I could help you resolve that confusion, is what I meant. But I don't want to do anything to... I don't want to push it. I don't want to push you away..."

"Maybe..." Star trailed off, admiring the wall across the room. "I trust you, more than anypony. Okay, well there has to be a point to start. Why not now? I think I'm ready to try." Star looked back to Cascade, his mind relieved of a great weight it seemed. "Maybe it's time I made the decision for myself, and I choose you."

*what are you doing? Hes going to leave you at some point and you know it. Dont talk to yourself, Hop...* Hop was once again waging war on herself. Still having a hard time accepting that Aarod wasnt going to leave her. When the tide started to wet her back she shivered a little, but stopped when she felt his warm body heat. "I... Uhh, I.." Hop had a hard time saying the words but she knew what she wanted to say and hopped that Aarod would finish it for her.

 

 

When he felt her shiver, he pulled her closer to him. He heard her stuttering something, and only hoped it was what he thought it was. "Hop, I love you." He said, leaning in closer and kissing her, as the lake water started to go up higher. He still didn't care as he continued to kiss her.

Cascade smiled dryly. He trusted her, above anypony? Hadn't they just met a few hours ago? She didn't care. "Well, if you're sure..." She pecked him on the cheek, then reclined lazily, almost invitingly, on the bed. "Should we start now? Or would you rather sitting around talking about it for another half hour?" She poked out her tongue at him, and smiled rather roguishly.

He wiped an imaginary tear from his eye before looking back up to Cascade. He leaned in and planted another kiss on her, taking an opportunity to bring her closer and pressing his side against her.

He wiped an imaginary tear from his eye before looking back up to Cascade. He leaned in and planted another kiss on her, taking an opportunity to bring her closer and pressing his die against her.

Cascade blinked bemusedly at Star's response, before she laughed and kissed Star Keeper happily, dragging him over so they were both laying down on the bed, yet their figures still intertwined, two bodies becoming one as they disappeared under the covers...
