Tartaros hissed at the new illusion Fear had made, dropping the chunks of concrete he had ripped from the ground earlier.

"But you never had powers like this," Tartaros growled in frustration at the flame wall.

"#Illusions.... too real, but I'll focus my thoughts to blocking them from our minds.."

Tartaros stood still, his tendrils and claws ready to strike.

 

(Because theyre focusing on keeping the illusions away, Tartaros will be distracted for a while.)

Zeddie nodded. "I suppose that makes sense." He said with a shrug. "Sounds like a type of lizard at first." He chuckled.

 

Leon sighed "Who in the name of whatever is Blue?" He asked with a confused look, knowing that whatever was happening was definitely borderline insane. He knew he was going to regret stabbing that girl, he just hoped she would show her face soon so this doesn't continue.

Fear jumps through the fire wall, he him self still appeared to be on fire, he repeadly stabbed Tartarous, the blade felt white hot as he stabbed and slashed at him, he then pushed tartarous over, the street felt like burning coal, Fear laughed a very creepy laugh drowned out by fire

Tartaros struggled against Fear, now feeling as if his entire body was on fire, he couldn't really block all the damage from the supposedly heated blade even though normally the dense symbiote would've been able to block such petty attacks.

"Bastard," Tartaros hissed as he held his stomach which was covered in wounds. Through the realistic illusion of flame, the symbiote tried to heal Tartaros as quickly as it could. Mentally, Tartaros shook his head and closed his eyes, focusing himself to confront Fear. Once he finally returned his attention to Fear, he let out a distoreted laugh. On Fear's body, he could see a slash mark of five claws across his shoulder, received from the wrestling while Tartaros was attacked.

"Unlucky," Tartaros hissed. "You just earned yourself black plague. A single scratch was all it took to send you spiraling down a slow and painful death. You should get that treated, yohur black, swelling lymph nodes don't look too good amidst this inferno. Bad for the violent cought that comes with the disease..."

Tartaros knew he had delivered the correct strains of Pathogens through the slashes, but because of his disorientation due to flames he didn't know how effectively he had made them and dealt them.

Fear shreiked, he started stomping tartarous's head his his flaming boot repeatedly then ran off the walls of fire were still there, fear took off the hoodie of the man he had killed earlier he headed twords mercy hospital, as he got farther away, the flames and illusions around tartatous started fading away until they dissapeared, Fear came across a hardware store, he walked in, he needed an upgrade from his scalpel, as he walked in he threw the scalpel at the clerk, killing him he took the guys shirt and put it on, then put his back on, he found some leather gloves and put them on, he then found 2 machetes,  he immeditaly took those, he continued looking and found a gasmask, he put it on and exited the hardware store, he continued on his way to mercy hospital

Tartaros merely laughed at Fear's crazed state, and recovered quickly once his enemy had left. Finally, his and the symbiote's mind were cleared of the illusions, and the symbiote quickly began to restore psychic barriers to better defend against psychic influences.

"His powers are different, more different than those of other psychics we have met," Tartaros said as he climbed up a building to peacefully regenerate himself.

"#I realized," hissed the symbiote. "It takes a lot to break past our mental defenses, Fear is a rather special case. Once we eat him though, I'll be able to examine his genetic code thoroughly to increase our defense against said abilities."

 

Tartaros wondered where the res of his allies were. He could still feel some strange demonic energy running through the cities, but he couldn't effectively determine which were hostile and which were friendly, or at least neutral. Feeling restored, he traveled via rooftop to patrol the city.

During the fight between Tartaros and Fear, an armored vehicle belonging to the government had been driving through the area. They were transporting something valuable, something which if used correctly, could aid the government in the war. However, this thing wasn't a weapon, no, it was a living organism of alien origins, a symbiote.

"Hey Darien, did you check to make sure that thing was locked up?", asked the driver to his partner.

"Yeah, it wont be escaping no matter what... uh... what is it again exactly? Looks more like a pile of black goo to me, a moving one...."

"Did you not read the briefing? It's an alien simply called a symbiote. According to the captain of the eastern science department, we used to have a soldier who had developed a n extremely strong bomd with one of the species, granting him abilities, cunning, and prowess that far exceed human standards. The soldier went rogue, so the government sought out another being just like him, but in their search all they found was what you see there."

 

The guard in charge of watching the symbiote looked through the monitor, and made a face as he saw the amorphous being form a set of jaws and bear its fangs.

"Ech, so why hasn't it been put to use?", asked the watcher.

"Because in all the bondings its been through, the little bastard has hated its hosts and sucked them dry days after the bonding. That or it would simply take over the host completely and drive it to do suicidal acts."

As they drived, they caught sight of Tartaros and Fear.

"Isn't that... that thing we kept hearing about?! Tartaros or something? The rogue soldier...."

"And Fear, " the other said. Shortly afterwards, both screamed out in terror, acting as if their vehicle had been invaded by a horde of giant scorpions. They swerve out of control, crashing into a wall and exploding, killing the two guards. The imprisoned symbiote let out hissing laughter as it escaped, enveloping the dead soldiers and eating them. It noticed Fear and Tartaros.

"One of my own," it hissed. "It is strong... very strong, so rare that our species ever gets to that kind of bond. But the other... not like a regualr human.. a super, and so crazed and twisted at that..."

After the fight ended, the symbiote slithered after Fear, relishing each of the psycho's murderous acts....

Fear continued walking, he could feel the disease taking hold of him, he started coughing, he decided to ignore it, that hospital had to have a cure to it he coughed more, he felt tired, and went into an alley way and sat down against the wall, he felt a little weak, he figured he'd rest a little, he coughed again, a thug walked up to Fear "whats wrong with you you little freak" Fear looked up at the thug, the thug freaked out and ran into the street and took his switchblade out and slit his own throat

The symbiote saw Fear in his weakened, diseased state. It could tell that the disease was taking hold rapidly, but still Fear struggled to stay alive. It calmly slithered nearer to him and rose up in an unstable, disembodied form bearing spindly arms, legs, a body, and a head.

"You are strong, moreso than the other pitiful hosts I have had. Crazed and murderous, I can taste it," hissed the alien. "You are dying of disease, one inflicted to you by one of my own kind. It will be much too difficult for the ordinary doctors to treat... accept my gift of bonding, and together we can plunge everything into a state of despair..."

Fear looked up at the monsterous form, it had a pretty good offer, he would probably die from the disease, and it was a good offer to able to cause fear and chaos every where, he shakily got up and coughed, he took a step twowords the symbiote and reached out to grab it

Maven casually walked along the city street on his way to the police station. He was using his earpiece to speak with Walsh. "I've gotten everything you've asked for." He said. "You're being too preemptive. We don't have a reason to delay."

 

 

"Nonesence." The chief replied. "I haven't delayed a thing because I do not intend to strike. I intend only to retaliate."

The symbiote stretched its amorphous body towards Fear and enveloped him, spreading over and attatching itself to Fear's body. It began to repair the wounds.

(And thus you are now in control of the way Fear looks when using the symbiote, as well as the symbiote's speech and a name if you choose to give Fear a second alias.)

Tartaros laughed as he burst up through the rooftop of a warehouse. Down inside the small, abandoned place, a group of thugs screamed in agony as a foreign sickness spread through their bodies, causing a rapid advance of necrosis and hemorrhaging.

"Murderous, rapist scum," Tartaros said as he watched their would be victims frantically run out of the building. He growled in satisfaction and swung to a different area. Patrolling was always fun.

During his trips through the city he encountered several rebel factions. Most of them seemed to have good intent like the rebels down at the sewer base, so when they didn't set off the symbiote's senses, he'd assume a less monstrous form and direct them towards a site where a rebel commander would further assess them and lead them to the underground base. Using a communication device he had grabbed earlier, he contacted Night Hawk.

"Night Hawk, some recruits are heading over to one of the rendevous sites. Quit moping around and get to it, and organize them into their respective places."

Tartaros then leaped over towards other places to scan, and noticed a strange, bald man giving off a demonic, hostile aura...

Maven took his finger off of the earpiece and checked his watch. "Even time seems to move slow when I'm working for that one." he mumbled to himself. "Waiting to retaliate... And here I thought aggression was one of humanity's best qualities." he slowly continued to shuffle along the sidewalk.

Fear  felt power and laughed he leaped up to the top of a building  reveling in his new found strength  "what all can we do?" #We can do a lot  with it# Fear went in search of tartarous, he had a score to settle

 

Night Hawk sighed and donned his helmet and exited his base and headed to the rendevous point

Tartaros twitched slightly and perked up when he felt a strange, yet somewhat familiar presence close by. It was familiar on both accounts, familiar to the symbiote because of species, and familiar to Tartaros because of his various encounters with Fear.

"You're not telling me that..."

Tartaros let out a short roar of anger when his suspicions were confirmed. He spotted the new Fear leaping from building to building in his new form.

"#It has been long since we've had an encounter with a being bonded to one of my own species," the symbiote hissed as Tartaros formed his giratendrils into extra sharp appendages. 

"Give me a break, we just took this guy out about an hour ago and now this?! And like how Orestes became Uroboros, this guy and his symbiote are going to have me on their own vendetta..."

Tartaros studied Fear's movements cautiously, not knowing how much more strength he had acquired...

Fear in his symbiote form was much leaner than tartarous, but what he lacked in size made up for in speed and agility, he was moving very fast, he came upon a stoner on one of the roof tops, he landed on the roof and slowly walked up to him, the stoner got up in suprise "wh-what are you??"  Fear's symbiote laughed #we are Cthulhu# he opened his mouth open,, 4 thick tentacles  came out and dropped to the floor, they snaked their way over to the stoner and wrapped around him, they lifted him up and pulled him over to Cthulhu, he then preceded to swallow him, he laughed then continued on his way

(STILL waiting for Lester or Rocketeer to reply to Frey... still.) Frey started to fiddle with his fingers waiting for a responce. (Because its been like half a week...)

 

 

 

Maven looked up. He couldnt shake the feeling that someone had followed him, but he couldnt see or sense anyone. He shrugged and continued walking.

Tartaros stood across from Ctulhu on a different rooftop, straing him down as he swallowed the stoner.

"This is going to be one hell of a fight," Tartaros said as he readied himself.

"#This one is quick, we must take caution..."

Tartaros had had experience with his own kind before, and so he coated his giratendrils with a special poison to fight...

"Don't do anything," said Illium quietly. "Just let it happen."

A nurse came bustling down the hall but Illium just smiled charmingly and he blinked a few times before walking away. The screeching stooped shortly afterwards and Wesley's voice floated out, chanting in some strange dialect. Illium nodded along to the voice, looking suddenly defeated.

"Thanks," said Carullo gratefully, grabbing the medications. "I appreciate it." He smiled vacantly and stepped out into the street. Olivia was quite light and he had no trouble breaking into a car and speeding back to their apartment when he spotted a curious sight right in front of Olivia's building.

"Oh, cachu," he muttered, and slammed the brakes.

"Blue is everything," said Gwen with a lopsided and eerie grin. "You remember her, Leotard? You remember what she said?"

"Gwen!" barked a sharp voice, and she wheeled around. 

"Carousel!" she crowed. "Fancy your Latin ass being over here."

Carullo sighed and glanced at Leon pityingly. "She with you?"

"What's it to you?" demanded Gwen, crossing her arms.

"You're in front of my girlfriends apartment building, and you're a bloody pyschopath who likes to blow up anything containing people," he informed her, giving her a haughty raise of his eyebrows.

"Ooohhh, well, that's a bit harsh," pouted Gwen. "See, Leotard here lives in this building here." She gestured a few doors down and stumbled slightly.

"Oh. Fabulous. You're my neighbour now," said Carullo with a grim frown. He looked at Leon. "Who're you, and why are you with this person out of all the crazies in the city? Even Wesley is probably a better choice."

Leon wasn't able to answer before Carullo appeared. "I walked out of a portal a few hours ago. I don't live here, just someone I know stays here." He said with a still irritated look, but still keeping cool. "As for why I'm with Gewn, that lies with my loyalty to the one who told me to go with her. In short, i'm affiliated with the one who is affiliated with her." He explained. "Lazarus Raltic," He said giving a bow, "But some call me Leon for short."

"Hey, is there a shower I could use? I haven't been able to take one in a few days cuz I have been busy with work."

"Im going to go find her."

*He said diligently. He turned towards the exit and quickly walked out, ready to search for Sasha.*

Zeddie looked confused for a few seconds, slightly mistrustful of the motives. He was slow to answer, but finally did after a few seconds. "Yeah, their obviously Is. I'm not sure if Damon would let the prisoner use his shower though..." He said. He knew she had experience with explosives, and also knew there might be some DIY materials in that room.

Frey nodded and followed Lester. "Would that we have no idea where she is or where we're going, do you even know which way to turn when we leave the building, now?" he asked Lester. "Sasha got any other friends to be jumpin to up in a rush like this? Not that I'll be more than stumped from here on out."

Tartaros hissed. He sensed Maven begin to grow suspicious of his surroundings, and if he remembered Butajiri's words correctly, demons were more often than not going to try and kill a "high class human".

"#Perhaps we can use him to our advantage, should he take notice of us and choose to interfere," the symbiote told Tartaros.

"Good plan," responded Tartaros, having quickly set up several strategies to take on the two. He assumed a feral stance and roared at Ctulhu, the former Fear.

"You may have become like us, but you have much to learn, and so much more to suffer through now!"

Tartaros sprang towards Ctulhu, stretching his pathogenic giratendrils towards his enemy as he drew in closer for a series of lacerating slashes and vicious bites.

Maven stoppe dead in his tracks when he heard the roar.

 

'Unmistakably inhuman,' he thought as he turned around. 'That must be him. Documented at mid to lower C class. Much better than coming back empty handed.'

 

He elongated his legs and made them bend into a coiled spiral wichita served as a spring. He launched himself into the air and stretched out his arms to grab onto a third rooftop across from Ctulhu and Tartarus. He then used the arms to shoot himself up like a rubber band and land perfectly on his toes.
