Spark figured it was a half decent time to tell Rambler what was going on between her and Arcane when he died. At least she was starting to sever the emotional ties. 'Yesterday is history, tommarow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it's called the present' Spark thought to herself. (OOC: Nice Kung Fu Panda reference, eh?)

 

Spark tooka  deep intake of breat before starting, and stared at her hooves. "Before Arcane... died.... we started escalating our relationship from beyond captain and first mate, and even beyond friends. There wa a brief peroid before he died when we were together. He was really mad a t me because I let somepony join the crew.. and we were fighting... and all our emotions came out in a big flurry. So in a nutshell, I was together with my former captain, Arcane." Spark stared at her hooves, concerened about what Rambler would think. Nopony on the Wasp had known, either.

Rambler's first reaction was shock.

 

"I had no idea... when we met in Casaflanca, I never would have guessed... and then when your ship sunk... I'm so sorry, that must have been horrible for you."

 

Rambler couldn't help but imagine himself in Arcane's place as her captain and lover, and he resented himself for it. She had lost somepony near and dear to her, and all he was thinking about was... that.

Spark was taken slightly aback. His first reactin seemed to be... empathy? She looked up and gave him a sad smile

 

"It's okay. It's not like it's your fault or anything." Spark said, then patted Rambler's knee. "I just figured that you might want to know that. After all, me and Storm survived. There's always a chance he did too, right?" Spark said. But she didn't believe he lived. How could he?

Rambler doubted he could have survived, but he couldn't tell her that.

 

"I guess, there's always a chance. Maybe we'll see him again some day. Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me about that."

 

Again that part of him that he hated spoke up and wanted Arcane to be dead so that he could take his place.

Spark smiled sadly, knowing that Rambler was taking this better than she ever expected. There were a ton of rules against this, so she expected him to freak out.

 

She qietly changed the lyrics to Tortuga, and began singing them under her breath.

 

'Saturday night, Captain Arcane died with his ship

First mate Spark pushed her way to the Tar,

Storm walked back onto the deck of the ship and made his way down towards his room his mind still on the thoughts of the past. He was haunted by what had happened two years ago so he knew what Spark was going through. He looked around seeing most of the crew back on board already some playing games while others just talked. Once Storm had made it to his quarters he put up his blades and kunai and started looking for Rambler and Spark.

 

It didn't take him long to find that her door was open and could see that they were inside talking. He wanted to let them know what was going on but decided it was better to wait. He laid down in a nearby hammock and waited until they would be done loosing himself to his past again. Lilly I wonder....what would life have been like had everything turned out alright? Storm thought to himself looking into Sparks room.

Rambler noticed Spark seemed to be saying something under her breath. He couldn't read her lips, but he got the feeling it was something deeply personal. He decided he might as well ask her about it.

 

"Um... are you trying to say something? I... is everything okay?"

Spark then said "Here, listen" and sang the lyrics alittle louder

Spark saw Storm's eye peering into her room. She gave a quick whisper to Rambler "Remeber, nopony that was a member of the Wasp knew what was going on with me and Arcane. I would prefer to keep it that way." Then Spark motioned Storm in, indicating for him to sit in a nearby chair.

Storm hopped off of the hammock and headed inside he didn't want to inquire about what they were talking about but he respected them too much to ask. Storm took his seat in the room his eyes still glazed over lost in thought before he shook his head hoping that it wasn't too obvious that he was distracted by something. "I made the drop and everything's in place. The shipment will make it to the vessel by morning and we can continue with our plan." Storm looked up at both of them giving them a weak and cheeky grin.

When she was finished singing, Rambler sat in silence for a while.

 

"That was... beautiful."

 

Before Storm entered the room he whispered back to her.

 

"Don't worry, I won't say anything"

 

He nodded in acknowledgement to Storm as he walked in.

"Alright, good work. Make sure you've done everything you can to prepare yourself. We can't afford to fail."

Storm nodded "Don't worry about me I'll have everything ready on my part when the time comes. You two have fun."
That being said he took his leave and left Spark and Rambler and headed
up top. Storm could feel the wind in his mane as it blew lightly he was ready to leave this town. "Coming back here was a mistake on my part. Ugh to many scars and reopened wounds." Storm looked out into the open ocean it was a regrettable decision but it had been his choice to live this way.

Storm left after a brief conversation with her and Rambler, and although SPark felf sortof bad about it, she was slightly relieved. She pinned iit on the fact she had just told Rambler a big secret, but in her heart she knew that wasn't it. Most of her ties had been emotionally severed from Arcane anyway.

 

"I miss him, ya know? And it's not even like in that way. It's more like a friend dying.... But I can't help but wonder what it was like for him. The instant he died. Hey, what would you say to a cat? To, like, kill the virmen on the ship" Spark said. She had always liked cats.
