private Winter Resort Romance and Slice of Life

Garnet Sky was feeling very hungry, so he grabbed his bat and departed to the dinning car, in the hope of finding an empty spot to sit and eat.

He bought a hot chocolate bebberage and a hot sandwich, then he started to look everywhere, he was trying to find and empty spot but everything was full. He leaned against a wall and started to drink his hot chocolate when he saw a large stallion who looked really strong. "Man, that must be one tough worker" he though.

He shared a glance with her once she mentioned leaving to get some hot chocolate. Even though he knew it was coincidence he seemed to find humor in the comment as well. "Hot chocolate? I'd like that." He nodded for her to lead the way and he would follow close behind her, or maybe not too close. He could feel a small bond forming between them. Come to think of it, he didn't have many friends besides the ponies he worked with, but even he wouldn't say they really knew him. Perhaps this mare would be the one to help him ease up and relax for a change on this vacation. 

 

(OOC: I have to leave for work now so I won't be back for six or so hours.)

"Ah, I'm headed for some resort. It's in the mountains. I'm not sure that's the best place to vacation mid-winter, but it's what I could afford. I heard that this train is the only way to get there, short of a blimp, or just flying, neither of which were an option for me." Mask ate a bite of the cheesecake. "Where are you headed? Aren't there a couple stops on the way here?"

"You're headed to the mountin resort, too?!" Night Song exclaimed. She can't believe her luck. She just met somepony who's headed toward the same destination as her.," What do you plan on doing there? Inquiring minds want to know," she asked, eagerly. She clutched her letter, waiting to mail it soon.

Garnet Sky finished eating his sandwich and drinking his chocolate, he looked around and started to think "Man, i need to male atleast a friend so i don't feel bored on the resort. He divised a lonely stallion (Storm Front) sitting in a seat, alone, and approached him in his seat. "Hey fella', watcha' doin'? Ya' headin' to the winter resort for some fresh vacation?" he asked with an smile. "May sit next to you and share some words? Maye we get along."

"Uh... Well, I plan on not working, first of all," Mask said, with a slight smile. "Other than that, I don't really know. Might just lounge around and enjoy the vacation. What do you plan on doing? I didn't know that there was that many things to do at a resort." Mask raised one eyebrow as he noticed the mare crushing her letter. "Oh, by the way, what's your name again? I don't think you told me."

She lend the way to dining car, and ordered herself and chocolate both a hot chocolate. She then gestured for them to sit over at a table by a window while they waited for their drinks. She sat down and glanced out, the scenery passed by. Starshy turned to Chocolate on the opposite side of her. " So, I'm assuming because you are on this train you'll be at the resort too? " Maybe it was a bit of silly question, but she figured it was good to ask anyway.

Kites jolted awake, which surprised her since she didn't quite recall falling asleep in the first place. She sat up and looked to see what had woken her. It happened to be a loud line of ponies in line for food in the dining car. Which of course she had the luck of sitting right next to. She decided since she was awake she might as well get some hot chocolate, since the blankets in her bed did absolutely nothing to help her keep warm, in fact she could barely feel her wings. She got in line and bought herself some hot chocolate. She grumbled a bit as she handed over fifteen bits. Ugh, train food is always to expensive she thought to herself. She looked for a place to sit, and soon spotted a seat next to a teal stallion with a yellow mane. She trotted over there and sat down. "Hi! I'm Kites, whats your name?" She asked the stallion. She thought she might as well introduce herself, seeing as she sat down next to him without asking.

Night Song followed the stallion's line of sight and noticed that she was crumbling her letter up. She then attempted to make it flat again by rubbing her hooves over it. She was not the most graceful of mares. " Oh, um, my name is Night Song! I heard they have an archery range over at the resort, so I brought my bow along. I also heard t-" *RIP* Night Song paused and looked down to see that she had accidentally torn the letter in half! " Oh no!" she shouted, her volume at a medium level.

Mask flinched as Night Song tore her letter. "Yeah, I don't like karaoke either. What was that? Was it important?" Mask asked. He continued to eat his cheesecake as she responded. He decided to get up and get some hot chocolate (if they still had any left)... In a moment. The beverage could wait.

" It's a letter to somepony back home. It's my first time out alone like this, so I wanted to write to him about it and seek his advice whenever I need it," Night Song said shakily. Then she got an idea. " Excuse me, can you use your magic to repair this?" she asked the stallion hopefully.

"Ah... Well, I guess..." Mask said, nervous. "I never really did this sort of thing before. I usually just use magic for lifting things and the sort... I'll try though." Mask's horn began to glow, as they normally do, as did the torn edges of the letter. They levitated and moved toward each other, and they melted together. "Well, that's a pleasant surprise! I've never been able to do that before. I wonder why I could this time..."

After a few days Rocket Blast finally arrived at the resort, he smiled at the sight of the beautiful landscape, he needed to get away from the troubles of his past, and this was the perfect place to.

" Nice to meet you, Mask!" Night Song responded. When he offered to buy her some hot cocoa, she shook her head," Yeah, it sounds nice, but I can pay for it myself." With that, she held out a hoof that had a pocket strapped to it that held her money. She then smiled," Thanks for asking though."

"Alright." Mask said taking the bits, and walking toward the hot chocolate booth. "Well, that went well. She seemed nice." Mask thought to himself, getting in line. Mask didn't know that there were even enough ponies on the train to form a line, and was slightly frustrated by the wait. Mask bought the two drinks, and walked to the table. "Here you are." Mask said, setting the drinks down.

He seemed reluctant to let her pay for his drink even if it was a nice gesture he would have to pay her back later. He took a seat, more or less across from her and noticed she had began to look out the window. He was about to speak but she got word in first, asking him if he was headed for the resort. He nodded and motioned to the large saddlebag on his back. "I was instructed to bring a few supplies to some ponies up in the mountains. It's normally not what I do, I'm a manual labor work horse." He said realizing he had rambled a little.

 

He gently sipped the heated drink then gave a weary smile to her. "Are you headed there yourself?" He asked the pretty unicorn. "I am also curious... what kind of magic can cast? And what do you do for work?"

as rocket blast walked towards the lodge he smelt something, "mmmm hot chocolate" he said with a smile, he turned around and headed over to the booth that was selling hot chocolate, without knowing it he tripped on the leg of a chair and fell flat faced in the middle of a row of tables, on the ground, he thought "great, just made a great impression to the ponies who are sitting here" he looked up to see if anypony was looking at him.

"Thanks, Mask," Night Song said. She used one of her wings to cool the drink a little before drinking it, as she is just growing out of a bad habit of immediately eating something, even if it's hot. She took a sip and blinked at the creamy texture and the warm temperature she had lowered it down to. "Wow," she said after swallowing it. "It's actually pretty good! How's your's?" she asked.

"Uh yeah, I think I slept too actually, but there's something that's bugging me... Like I'm forgetting something..." River made a strange expression, as if he's trying to remember but at the same time he doesn't really care. He then shrugged.

"Oh well, I guess, maybe that means it wasn't that important" said River and smiled, he was not sure what he could have forgotten, but he figured it might come to him later.

"So do you want to go check-in? We should probably do that first" asked River and pointed to the counter in the direction behind Snowdream.

 

(OOC: Sorry I didn't respond I was studying )

"Yeah I think we should go and check in." agreed Snowdream.

 

I wonder what he has forgotton. I hope it wasn't something important.

 

The two ponies walked along a path leading to the reception. Snowdreams gaze caught onto a beautiful butterfly. her brains unsuccessful attempt at multitasking caused her to walk into River Bank.

 

"Sorry!" Snowdream apologised quickly, blushing faintly at the contact of their bodies.

 

Whats your problem today Snow? your cheeks have been reder than tomatos and you've been clumsier than a hippo today. Pull it together!

"It's okay" said River, he noticed Snowdream was blushing a little, he figured she was a bit embarrassed from bumping into him, but he kept acting cool, not really acknowledging her blush. She looked really cute though, when she was blushing, River thought she was really cute overall.

They made it to the reception through the crowd, it was a window with a small indent at the bottom for passing objects, behind the window was a bored looking mare playing with a rubber ball on the counter next to her, she was looking away from River and Snowdream.

"Um, excuse me?" said River to catch the receptionist's attention. The receptionist turned around to them.

"Yes, how can I help you?" she asked.

"We want to check in for our resort" answered River.

"Okay then, names?" said the receptionist.

"I'm River Bank" he pointed at himself, "and this is Snowdream" he pointed at Snowdream. The receptionist turned to her right to look at a list that was on the wall, she scrolled down with her hoof through the list.

"R...r..r..R! River... Bank, and Snowdream is right below it, okay, let me just mark you two as arrived" the receptionist took a pen and made an X next to both their names.

"Alright, and here...is...a..." the receptionist rumbled through something below her counter, she took out a map a second later, "a map, with all the attractions around the resort listed on it", the receptionist handed the map to River and Snowdream through the small indent below the window.

"Enjoy your stay" said the receptionist.

"Thanks" replied River and they both turned away from the window. River walked a few steps away and spread out the map in front of them.

"So where do you want to go first?" he asked Snowdream.

Storm sat at the table, enjoying his hot chocolate, when suddenly a stallion walked up to him and started up a conversation. Storm was nervous (social situations were not his strong suit) but he managed to keep the conversation flowing. "Yeah" Storm said "I'm here on vacation. Spent a good amount of money to be here to, so it better be good." There was a brief pause in the conversation as the train came to a halt. "Looks like its time to check in. I'm Storm Front by the way." Storm said, getting up to exit the train. (OOC: Really sorry I didn't post earlier, I was a bit busy.)

after his tripping incident rocket wasn't wanting any hot chocolate anymre, he continued towards the reception lodge. there were many ponies in the lodge so he stood in the back and waited for his turn. he didn't know anypony here, which shot a flash of nerves through him.

"Ya' got style mate!" he yelled at Storm Front as he exited the train. He saw a lot of ponies in the lodge. The view was amazing, and so was the place.

He approached the reception and waited behind the looooong queue. "Oh, well. Atleast i reserved ma' room" he whispered. "I just have to log in."
