gaming PlayStation 3 having problems?

Does anypony have the same problem trying to access the PlayStation Store? I'm unable to get in, let alone sign in from the PS Forums (which is another forum I go to) and go to Account Management settings just now.

If they are banning the innocent there must be a reason, even if it's a mistake. Did you try to call support? What reason did they give you for banning?

we called support and said that the console WILL not be unban so im selling xbox and ps3 to buy a new xbox so im not sure what ive done i dont recal violating code of conduct i just woke up and i was ban

I think you have the right to know why you were banned. I highly doubt they can refuse to tell you the reason so try calling them again and find out the reason, even if you still can't get it unbanned. At least you'd have a reason instead of cursing Microsoft for banning the innocent when that may not necessarily be the case. You may have unintentionally done something against their TOS or someone else who uses your Xbox did and it got you in trouble.

I got my Playstation 3 on Christmas and just it wirelessly connected to my modem so one would've thought that getting into network would've been easy... WRONG

I have been having trouble getting it updated for about two weeks now

It has been failing about halfway through the update :/

What gives, I've NEVER had this problem before (I used to have a PS3 beforehand but I played it to death [it crashed] so I got the new one for Christmas)

To answer the question of the topic I haven't been on my PS3 in a while but it wouldn't surprise me if PSN was hard to get into right now. There are times, especially when new games come out, when the servers get overloaded.

 

ds8, what's your connection like? Are you sure your connection is remaining stable while you are downloading? When are you downloading? If you are downloading at a certain time of the day it could be kicking you due to server activity.

No, I can access my PS3 store, I really don't know why you can't connect to store. Maybe try later? Or something is wrong with your PS3 account ? :/

Also, the time I have ever been able to get on it is around 5:00 PM ish so that COULD be a reason why I am unable to update with everyone just getting off work and running to their PS3s and such

I should probably do this like around 1-2:00 in the morning and just let it run its course, if it still doesn't work, I'll probably call Playstation Technical Support

Indeed, could be a bad time. Try setting it up to download as you go to sleep or while eating dinner (assuming you eat later rather than sooner) and see what happens. 1-2 in the morning might work too though, not a lot of activity during that time usually depending on where in the world you are.
