This is an actual, honest to God story i'm writing and fully intending to publish. It is copyrighted. You've been warned.

Fire, Water, Earth, Air.

The Four Elements.

The foundations of Creation.

Fire. The strength, and power, and rage.

Water. The courage, and hope, and life.

Earth.  The inspiration, and love, and energy.

and Air. The freedom, and independance, and might.

Spirit has a place here, too. In Mystery, and magic, and secrets.

Everyone knows the elements. But whenever people list the Five of them, they often forget.......

The sixth Element.

The is Fire and Water, and there is Earth and Air and Spirit.

But there is also Shape.

~~~~~~~~~~
Deep in the nothingness, there is a system of six Realms. The Fire Realm, with its forges heated red and gold. The Water Realm, with its pristine and awe-inspiring structures of ice and flowing falls. The Earth Realm, with its deep and woody textures, golden sunlight flitting in swirling patterns. The Air Realm, with its breathtaking aerial view and cloud kingdom. The Shape Realm, with its ghost-like shell and hidden treasures. The Spirit Realm, with its celestial glow and heavenly fire.
This is Fyrada. The united Realms.
The sentiant beings here are as strange as they are beautiful. Ethearial elven features and graceful, lithe bodies. What is even more, is their ability to tune themselves to the Elements. Fyradians have always been born with this power. The creatures here are even stranger. Curious animals with powers of their own, and telepathic abilites, allowing them communion with the Fyradians.
There are three ethnic groups.
Non-Elementals. The precious normal ones, with their rounded ears and diverse features.
Auldarians. The elven ones, with grace and forgivness abound.
and Geminites. The ethearial ones, with their hauntingly pretty primal looks, justice and vengeance at their sides.
Auldarians were always changing, ready to take on the next obstical and exciting discovery their peculiar existance had to offer, like the discovery of herbal magic and enchantment. The story of two ancient Auldarians who dared defy the laws of Elemental Ability has been passed reverently down from generation to generation. The two Auldarians searched and searched, discovering many things to aid society and anything that plagued it. It was in doing so that they discovered the ability to deviate from the existing Six Elements. And thus the powers of Electricity, Storm, Mind, and Ice were unlocked. The Elemental backlash of their discovery was so powerful, the two were gifted with the power of all elements, including the newly discovered Element Deviants. They were forever more known as the Catalysts and their Ultimate Power was indowed upon two children, one of each's family line, every generation for eternity.
meanwhile, Geminites held fast to the Six Elements, never daring to bother with Element Deviations or any kind of Magic, in doing so they focused souly on exccelling in the field of Elemental Ability.
Then entered a group of four young Geminites. One of each Element. They broke every barrier set upon Elemental Ability, attaining Ultimate Power in their sole Element. They were a magnificent team, unbeatable standing together. Legendary amoungst their people, they were called Paraguards. The Guardians of the Pure Magic, AKA the original Elements. The four were given greater than normal Spiritual ability by the Great Four. Four legendary Fyradian creatures, who are said to be the creators of the elements themselves, that reside in the Spirit Realm.
Like the Catalysts, the Paraguards' abilities were passed down from generation to generation.
Standing beside every Auldarian and every Geminite is an animal. A creature bonded. Auldarians called them Protectors. While Geminites refered to them as Familiers. Each Fyradian endowed with Elemental Abilities had a strong bond with their Familier or Protector. A bond no one could break. It made their Elemental Abilities and Magic all the stronger.
~~~~~~~~~~`

Years after the First Catalysts and the First Paraguards, there ran tension between both ethnic groups. The differences between them ran a gap between the united Realms. People took sides.

The two current Catalyst, Mikhail and Zephyr, ran campaigns for peace, desprately trying to defuse the animosity running between the People.

The current Paraguards, Tessarla, Johnathen, Bindistiva, and Lani also tryed to calm their People. Little did they know, one of them was plotting against them.

Lani, the Fire Paraguard, had delved dangerously deep into Dark Magic, which had been forbidden since the time of the First Catalysts.

It was on a dark day, a day when the light of the Spirit Realm had dimmed in dread, that Lani made her move.

And ripped apart the very fabric of Existance.

In one cataclysmic event, Lani struck down both the Catalysts and their Protectors, then proceeded to murder both Tessarla and Johnathen, as well as all their Familiers, including her own. Bindistiva, the youngest, about thirteen, escaped with her Familier, Avvy, intact, never to be seen from again. Lani, aided by the Demon Lord, Sheer; the Underborn: Sylas, and his minion: Lilia, along with a following a few hundred strong, she layed waste to Fyrada, desecrating everything in sight in her conquest. Killing many. Lani then allied her forces with the draconic bounty hunter, Fantasia, ordering her to hunt down every single Shape-Shifter in all of Fyrada and kill them. The wanted the Shifters extinct.

Thus began the Dark Days of Fyrada.

Thus began the Purge.

Okay guys! I have a good feeling about this RP and I think people are gonna have a lot of fun. You get to choose your Element.

Your character can be one of these things:

An Auldarian

A Geminite

A Non-elemental

A part of the Half-Shifter Mercenary Squad

A Creature

A Protector

or A Familier.

**Note: The next Paraguards and Catalysts are NOT involved in this RP, this is strictly about the inhabitants of Fyrada during the time of the Purge and onward. The book being written with this plotline tells what happens with both the next Paraguard and the next Catalysts. They could be mentioned a few times, but the characters will not actually appear in the RP**

Yes, if your character is a Familier or a Protector, they can become the bonded's of another's Geminite or Auldarian character if permission is given. Be specific about the Elemental Ability and power level of your character. I will only let people sign on for a certain amount of time.

I will also save spots for your character if you ask me to, but keep in mind you must submit your Character Sheet ASAP, or your spot will be given to someone else.

~~~Rules~~~
All I ask is that you be kind and polite to one another and follow the rules of MLP Forums. (which means No god-modding, controling someone else's character, the like...)
YES! you CAN have mulitple character! (as shown, I have about four :/)
Alrighty then, I think thats it!
I'd join but I don't understand the storyline. You put a lot of effort into that, so it's a shame if no one joins. If I understand the storyline then I'll join. Good luck on the book!
Hmm.... I guess it does come across as kind of confusing. Truthfully, it took me and my co worker a long time to work out all the kinks, because at one point, this whole story was 4 entirely different storylines and series's before we decided to shift it all together. Ask me any question you have, I'd be happy to answer! ^^
