Yeah I know, I didn't mean any offense to it or anything, I just don't know what to refer to the 4chan days when bronies where just starting out as. it was then that the bronies started the whole Spam pony's thing while mods slept.

 

To be fair though I am a relatively new brony, I've only been one for like 6 months, so I don't really have a good reason to take offense anyways .

 

Sorry if that rubbed off the wrong way though, I'm not always the best at wording things.

The Brony phenomenon didn't exist until a couple of other episodes were telecast. Bronies only existed for slightly more than two years! You can hardly be called a late comer to the fandom!

Yeah I guess thats true actually. I just seem to go to old as the term i use whenever talking about something near the beginning of it or when i wasn't around I guess.

 

Probably would've been better off just referring to it as during the beginning or something.

In comparison to alot of people here I feel new . I mean theres alot of people who've been bronies for almost twice as long as me.

Now that that matter is somewhat decided, I have another question. What IS "pony spam"?! From the anti-bronies I've had the mispleasure of meeting, I can only guess that pony spam is ponies period. I've heard some of them even say, "Keep it entirely to yourself and say nothing about it" . Is pony spam ponies period or something?

That would be the opinion of quite a few haters but I think a good definition of pony spam would be just to think about the definition of regular spam and just add ponies and there you go. I haven't seen all that much spam that has to do with ponies myself and I am sure if anyone digs deep enough they could find spammers in just about everything so it does seem a bit ridiculous just to single out bronies for this.

Amen to that. I’m glad not as many people go around forcing MLP down other people’s throats. There’s a fine line between bringing something up with someone you know, possibly followed by giving it a recommendation and just telling people they have to go watch this because etc.

when we as bronies shout out it may be dangerous considering the people were going to shout out to. take my advice. taake it slow dont just shout it out let one person you trust know then a few you know that wont make fun of and slowly the people you want to know your a brony will know

I'm just gonna say this.

 

When many people become a Brony, they immediately have an "urge" to get people into the show or watch an episode, that is what many of the haters think all Bronies do.

 

That is more of the extreme mega-Bronies, rabid Bronies, Ponyfags, whatever you call them. Yet it seems more and more are just fans.

 

It's just a weapon and tactic that haters have used since day 1.

Spam will always be around. It's kind of funny how people worry about people giving them a "bad name." You pretty much already have a bad name by posting on this forum.

This goes as far back as the early days.  There are still a couple of bronies who try to push the limits and force the show on people.  I have seen it on some forums, and on youtube.
