planning What the Wasteland Hooves out (Fallout Equestria role-play)

I was wondering if anyone wanted to join a fallout Equestria role-play. i don't have much of a story yet, but that's why its on Planning after all. what i do have is that, this story would actually be before the events of Fallout Equestria. what i do have for a story is that your character has heard rumors of a city to the north that has never been touched by the mega spells of a war few remember and more live threw its aftermath, For one reason or another you wish to find the rumored city, though rumors are just rumors, but their always is a hint of truth in each.

 

So that's what i have so far, if anyone has any ideas post them, i really can't wait to hear what everyone has to say about this.

Well I always wanted to join a Fallout: Equestria RP. Usually they fill up too fast though or I just miss them...I would be up for this.

I'm in. Fallout and ponies are two of my favorite things.

If it helps, I've read FO:E and Project Horizons, played the Fallout games, etc.

It's great to see that you two would join the role-play, but know i'm looking for some ideas that would flush out the story right know, if any of you have any ideas just post them.

I would imagine in a post-apocalyptic world the thought of a city untouched by war and desolation (New Vegas, anyone?) would be enough of a catalyst for the plot. Then crap happens, per usual.

 

Just for fun, what if we DIDN'T play the pony wastelander side? What about Enclave, or zebras? Or renegade zebras/Enclave working with wastelander ponies?

I would agree with an intact city being reason enough for most factions and wanderers to seek it out.

truth be told, i wasn't even thinking of New Vegas when i was writing that, and yeah i like the idea where everyone has really different background and even different motives for seeking the city could work. For my OC's, i was planning for the two of them to be a ex-Raider and an escaped Slave.

Got it. Everyone wants an intact city, right? How 'bout when the PCs get there, they have to choose a side to take/defend the city. And of course, every faction makes a very convincing argument, and maybe the party is divided...DUN DUN DUUUUN.

i like that but that would all depend on the individual and what they chose, and what factions do you think should be in here, i would really way the Applejack Rangers, Grand Pegasus Enclave and maybe even a smaller faction of the two put together trying to keep the city out of both of the larger ones hooves.

i haven't read much of Project Horizons, but on the fallout Equestria wiki i saw some of the factions in the fic, and i think they might work in the roleplay just find, i'm probably going to have to change the story to have during the time of Fallout Equestria so the Applejack Rangers wouldn't seem out of place or we could make a whole new faction with similar goals as them.

Well I plan to put this faction in my fic and I suppose you can use them. They are the Dragonlings: A race of Changelings being manipulated by an evil changeling scientist to transform into Dragons, They have a lot of failed experiments and in this setting I could see their hive needing technology from the city to perfect the Dragon transformation. And for plot I think that a city that was untouched with it's tech would be a giant candy apple for the Steel Rangers.

Might I make a suggestion? Make this like the Fallout games with stats, skills, and dice rolls. It would require slightly more work, but it makes the RP a lot of fun. If you choose to consider this, I suggest this setup that Silverwisp uses for his roleplay. It is simplistic and easy to manipulate, and would definitely add to the Fallout-y feel of this roleplay.

You shouldn't judge the system based on one roleplay. The RP I'm in with Silverwisp is just as much roleplaying as dice-rolling and it makes the story as it adds the potential for failure.

I'd be up for it. I've always wanted to try a RP tabletop style.. It would definitely help in (for lack of a non-mmo term) PvP situations. I think it would be worth a shot. Especially if the system is already working in another RP.
