I can't pay you, but I do have other pony-related talents I can offer as recompense (wiriting, mostly).Here is a short background on him:

 

His name is Gevarel.  He is a male unicorn from Samareia (the ponified version of the Middle East), and was kidnapped from his family as a newborn.  As a foal he lived on the streets and learned to survive on his own, until he was attacked by a gang and taken in by a young couple of earth ponies who raised him.  When he was older, his his house was burned down by the same gang from his childhood in an attempt to kill him.  Wanting to protect his family, he ran away from Samareia and traveled all the way to Equestria, hoping to lead a quiet life without attracting attention to himself.

 

He is still fairly young (18-19) and doesn't have a cutie mark yet.  Anypony who wants to try and draw him has my eternal thanks! I kinda picture him in a desert-esque scene from Samareia, but that's just me!

Hmm, well I picture him standing with some sand blowing toward him, so maybe something that shows that. Maybe have one hoof raised slightly like he's trying to block the sand, but I'm not partial. Anything that makes him look stoic, kind of contemplative is perfect. Thanks! I haven't got an ounce of talent for drawing, so this is saving me!

Here you go! Sorry, didn't see the contemplative part until I came to upload it. Hope you like it anyways. I also didn't find a sand texture so I had to work with what I had. If you need anything changed just tell me.

Also, the original size was 5000x5000 with more of a background, but I had to crop it down because of uploading errors.

Sure! I wanted to try out lighting and stuff, so I did it at night. Let's say he was fighting off desert bandits or something. With fire. If you need anything changed just message me.

These will be great for the story; all I need now is one of him standing on a windswept dune looking off into the distance, all thoughtful. Could I get one kind of like this from the front, with more of an intense look on his face?  Kind of like he's thinking about something sad or angering?  I know I'm milking this, but you're really good and I can't draw squat.    At least not yet; I'm trying to learn digital painting, but I find that I'm a lot better painting pictures with words than with a brush.

I guarantee that you're better than I am!   The way I usually picture him, he's standing on some windswept desert dune, looking intense and thoughtful as the wind kicks up the sand.  The pose was just the one I picked on the OC maker, so don't feel restricted to that one.

Yeah, I can do that. Don't worry about it. It only takes me about 40 minutes to an hour to do a drawing. I've gotten used to drawing your OC and only take about 40 minutes to draw. If you need anything changed message me.

Haha, thanks. I appreciate the compliments. Right now, I use a program called Paint Tool SAI. I also use a Bamboo Splash Pen Tablet. It was the cheapest I could find, at about 50 dollars. It also only has two buttons, both on the pen, but it works. I use one button for the eyedropper and one for moving the screen. That's about it.

 I personally can't draw him, right now but just thought I'd let you know, if you ever need an OC drawn really well, and probably in several styles, you can always just go to the "Massive Art Swap Thread" thread

That looks cool, but I can't draw anything! There wouldn't be anything for me to trade, so I'll have to hold off until I learn digital drawing.
