Yukon 15 February 1, 2013 Share February 1, 2013 I usually bring my little cousin with me and it makes me seem if I am buying her a MLP toy (I do, I buy 2) I am 15 though so it's not like i'm TOO old. You should feel proud you like a show as awesome as MLP and not be ashamed even if people are laughing. Alot of people like things that are way worse than MLP, MLP:FiM is very well animated and has a good meaning too it. Usually the characters learn a lesson. I find it rather insulting though how people judge based on what you buy. The clerk didn't know your meaning! It could of been for anyone...if you where being nice and maybe buying a gift for a party you don't need to be laughed at. I think everyone deserves more respect! This is just my opinion. It took me a while to buy MLP on my own. Now I do, do it. I just prefer taking my cousin along, since I sadly am an only-child.

The clerk was chuckling and snickering at me. I am thinking about getting my friend to buy them for me. Because I lmost cried leving the store over people making fun of me for buying MLP products The golden rule here is not to care what other people think. You probably won't meet that clerk again, so what does it matter if he laughs at you? Also, most people are going to laugh at you anyway, because you're buying toys that are meant for girls. You've got to admit that it's funny that a teenaged or adult male would enjoy something like that. Maybe make jokes about it. Also, buy something with the toy so it looks like you're getting it for someone else. This is what I did when I felt uncomfortable buying merch. Later on, you'll feel more comfortable with it. EpicEnergy 23,222 September 26, 2021 Share September 26, 2021 Do some online shopping, that's how I got a lot of my MLP merch without having to deal with jerks. *totally not up to any shenanigans*
Lunaholic 920 September 26, 2021 Share September 26, 2021 Of course you can. They don't know for who are you buying that merch. I've bought unicorn plushies before (not for myself though) and I didn't feel ashamed at all. Why should I?
Pentium100 2,161 September 26, 2021 Share September 26, 2021 I am old enough for people to be thinking that I am buying the toy for my child (I do not have any, but they don't know that). Though most likely nobody cares at all.
