"Hold on" Sandstorm stated, and strode into the throne room. He and the princess began to converse, voices hushed, before he came striding back out, a frown on his face "Lets go, I tire of Canterlot"

He took a glance at the map Thunderdash was holding "Ah, we will pass through my homeland, perhaps we may be able to stop for a few days, my father and mother would be pleased to see me"

"Alright then. Let's move!" Thunder Dash said spreading his wings out wide and leaping into the air. "This is gonna be one epic adventure." Thunder Dash said. "Now, we are heading North. We'll continue heading north for the next month. It will then take another month to get to the new land." Thunder Dash explained. "We'll house at Saddle Arabia for a few days. Let's hope that the war has died down and the sides are at peace with each other." Thunder Dash added as he continued to head north.

"wait, why are we going to go through a war zone? Why not just take the extra two weeks to avoid the war?" Shining star asked very scared and worried. She looks at her main to see the slight change color and bolts out of the door making the excuse of having top use the little fillies room

"Well, here's the thing. There may OR may not be war. Depends, but, we better speed things up if we want to catch the time of peace and not go through those weeks. 'Cause the sooner we get to the new land, the sooner we find a way to rid the spirit of the evil emperor and the sooner Equestria could have a new city built." Thunder Dash said speeding up a little.

Eyeing the fleeing filly with some reluctance and intrigue at the colour change and her sudden disappearance.

"Lovely, I probably will not be able to count on her if a situation gets too messy" he thought to himself.

Out loud he spoke to Thunder-dash "If we get caught in a warzone, I can teach you three to dress like saddle-arabians, which should result in a safe passage"

Thunder Dash went after Shining Star and caught her. "Listen Shining Star, it may or may not be a war zone. But the sooner we leave, the sooner we can get there and past without going through a war zone." Thunder Dash said letting Shining Star go. 

 

A couple days past and they were getting closer to Saddle Arabia.

To herself. "why dose it always have to be around a war zone. Can't ponies just get along." Out loud to thunder dash and the others. "sorry about a few days ago. I don't know what came over me." She thinks to herself again, "other than almost changing back into changeling form

"Ooh, that'll be great. We can integrate ourselves as we pass through. But we must not get ourselves into anything that will stray us from the mission that Celestia sent us out to complete." Thunder Dash said. 

 

A few more days past. Thunder Dash used his magic to take out the map from his bag. He then used a sensing spell. "We're just about half way there." Thunder Dash said to the others. "How are those wings holding up?" Thunder Dash asked Goldseek.

"Ooh, that'll be great. We can integrate ourselves as we pass through. But we must not get ourselves into anything that will stray us from the mission that Celestia sent us out to complete." Thunder Dash said. 

 

A few more days past. Thunder Dash used his magic to take out the map from his bag. He then used a sensing spell. "We're just about half way there." Thunder Dash said to the others. "How are those wings holding up?" Thunder Dash asked Goldseek. 

"They work, though I'm not completely used to them." He laughed, trying to keep moving forwards and not turn. "Only half way there? We've been going for so long." His wings were getting tired from travelling for so long. "This place better be worth it. I mean, apart from the evil emperor guy."

"Need a break? There's a water hole coming up. We could rest there for the night and then continue the next day. We'll be in Saddle Arabia in one and a half days at this rate." Thunder Dash said. 

 

Soon they arrived at the water hole. Surprisingly, it had several fruit trees and a good enough place to rest and sleep. "Alright, get settled in 'cause we're gonna be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow." Thunder Dash said. He then unpacked some stuff and went to get some fruits from the fruit tree. There were apples, bananas, and mangos. "Eat up everypony, like I said before, we're gonna get at the first hit of sunlight." Thunder Dash said. After Thunder Dash ate some fruits, he settled in for the night and went to bed. The moon had just risen.

Sandstorm settled in one of the nearby fruit trees, taking a couple of apples and mangoes up with him and began to keep watch. He had slept in short snatched on the flight over and as a result was prepared to stay up all night and keep watch. Oasis' like this were a rare commodity in the desert, and the chances of running into someone else here were much higher than elsewhere. He started up a gentle breeze in the surrounding area, keeping tuned to the shifts in current, watching for subtle changes that would indicate movement around the camp.

Shining Star waits till she thinks everypony is asleep and looks around. "great, that stupid praetorian followed me" She sneaks off in the middle of the night, drops her disguise and talks to the praetorian and find out why it was that she was following her. She put back on the her old lives form and snuck back into the camp knowing more about the mission Celestia gave the four, and what the evil King could do if awakened. She then went to sleep

Thunder Dash suddenly woke. He heard footsteps. He then turned and saw Shining Star awake. "What are you doing awake? We're gonna be up in a few. Gotta get back to sleep." Thunder Dash said as he turned back around and fell asleep. While asleep, Thunder Dash was thinking about the journey, how they would get through Saddle Arabia, the next day. 

Shining Star looks at Thunder Dash as he laid back down. "​sorry" she whispered and got back into her bed thinking of what Celestia was thinking hoof picking a filly as her self for this mission, then she started getting worried that perhaps Princess Celestia knew her secret, and if the other three knew. She got into her little 'bed' and softly sobbed a bit before drifting off back to sleep

Sandstorm had watched the little filly get up in the night and wander off into the darkness. Silently he manipulated the wind around his wings to glide over to where two figures stood talking without a sound. There he changed the air currents again. Wafting the sound of thier voices up to him. He listened in as they spoke, watched with a raised eyebrow as Shining Star changed back and forth, then silently followed her back to camp and settled back into his tree for the rest of the night, re-establishing the motion sensing air currents around the camp.

Shining star wakes up and looks stars. She quickly looks around getting the feeling that she is being watched and dismisses it. She looks at her body to make sure that she is in her 'normal' form but realized that her tail is the palish blue color of the changelings. she tries to change it, but it only changes to palish mint green, she gives up and goes around the area to find a good place to use the little fillies room

Sandstorm dropped to the ground behind her as she was walking without disturbing a single grain of sand before speaking, just loud enough for Shining Star to hear.

"And I thought your kind had perfect control over your forms, perhaps I was mistaken, we don't often see your kind around in pony lands for good reason"

She spins around and takes a defensive stance with extreme fear in her eyes. "Wh-what? Please don't tell anypony, please. This was the only way to not starve. I was tired of being alone and hungry *sob* i didnt know what else to do, and i found a changeling on the outskirts of Los Pegasus, and took his offer. I didnt realize how much ponies hated the changelings, *sob* a-and-and now i-i'm afraid." she lays down and buries her head her hooves and starts crying.

Sandstorm draws a blank, he isn't used to dealing with this sort of stuff. He collected his thoughts and began. He slowly walked up and put a wing over her.

"I will not speak of this to others for now. I personally hold no grudge against your kind, so long as you do not try to feed on me. This mission is more important than any petty squabbles and I plan to keep it that way. However, if there is anything else you are hiding, now would be an excellent time to release it- holding such things in will eat you from the inside and I will do my best not to judge"

She thinks for a minute and then decides that that was all she was hiding, then adds, "Oh, and because i was made fun of being an alicorn, i get angry very easy and always seem to liberality burn my opponents" she said while wiping away a tear

Thunder Dash wakes up and sees the two talking. He then goes into his bag and takes out his little watch. It was 4:30am. He planned to be up by 5:00am because sunrise occurs at that time. 

 

Thirty minutes pass. Thunder Dash checks his watch. It's 5:00am. "Everypony up! Let's go! We've got a big journey ahead of us. Wash up, pack some fruits and let's head onto Saddle Arabia!" Thunder Dash declared, as he jumped into the water to wash up. He then got out and shook himself off, and ate some apples. He then packed his bag with some apples, bananas and mangos.

Shining Star runs over to Goldseek and starts hopping around him yelling for him to get up. then she gets a bright idea. She runs over to her saddle bag and sees that she didnt have one with her. she uses her magic and makes a bugle. She then runs back over to Goldseek and starts playing

"Well, that's one way to wake a pony up." Thunder Dash said. He then began to giggle and laugh. He remembered the times when he was back in boot camp. Everyday, he heard that same wake up call and he always looked forward to it; of course, if he sleeps like a little filly the night before.

Sandstorm finished up his conversation with a few simple word

"I understand your pain, the ponies I think of as mother and father are not my real parents, and I yearn for understanding of who I really am. Its why I'm here, the princess told me I could find my answers on this journey, I hope she is right"

 

30 minutes later

 

Sandstorm gathers a few choice fruits, he knew there will be plenty more to find, he believed they will run into familiar desert soon.

He noticed goldseek's lack of response despite an impressive fanfair, closing his eyes he concentrates the air inside the bugle.

"Try that again young one, It will be louder this time, Much louder"

 

 

 

OOC: Thunder-dash mate, can we get a little warning when you are gonna fast forward? Better yet, can you maybe check in with us before you fast-foward like that, just to let us finish up conversations and what not

She begins playing it again not faltering when the volume was increased. She remained playing all the way through and when finished, she looked very pleased with herself and wondering if this did the job of waking up Goldseeker. "if this dose not wake him up, then nothing on Princess Luna's good graces will wake up this stallion...or maybe i can bite him to wake him up...yes...that sounds nice"
