-Love between Stallion and Mare (Cadence and Shining Armor)

-Sibling love (Twi and Shining Armor, Rarity and Sweetie)

-Love for enemies (Discord resurrection)

-Rivalry love (Trixie)

-Mentor and Apprentice Bond (Twi and Spike)

-Pet Bond (RD and Tank)

 

Not used yet

-Parental Love

-Love for Country (Patriotism)

 

Can anyone think of new ones?

I think a mentor and apprentice bond is more Twilight and Celestia. It seems Spike looks at Twi as more of a friend/motherly figure then a mentor.

- Dealing with the loss of friendship

- Dealing with loss of a loved one (death)

- Dealing with a friend moving away

 

Also, Spike and Twilight's relationship is more Brother/Sister than it is anything else.

AJ/Applejack should be under Sibling love, too. I also agree with others, Twi/Spike are more like siblings or mother/son-ish.

 

-Surrogate Family (Dash & Scootaloo becoming 'sisters'). I really like that the show introduced this theme. You don't have to be related to someone to have them feel like a part of your family. (points at signature)

 

-Friendly rivalry (Rainbow Dash & Applejack)
