WIP Rainbow Factory Dashie

I was listening to this song, and it inspired me. So, I put it on repeat, and drew. And drew, and drew. For about an hour. This is what I got, let me know what you think!

Free hand in Adobe Ideas on my iPad. Not too hard, since I have a lot of experience drawing. I had a lot of fun breaking out of Hasbro/Faust style, especially with the eye.

Go ahead, I'd love it, considering this is my first piece that I've done with absolutely no reference in a long time. I usually have a few pictures open to help with positioning, but I did this completely on my own.

 

You might like this, then, too. I was listening to

and replayed it four or five times while making it. Songs influence my drawings greatly.

As for my full critique, here it is; (For RD)

 

Since you've got your own style (Which is very nice, I might add), I don't have much to critique on.

 

The first thing would be the angle that the mouth is on; it looks like it starts a bit too far down on her face and angles up too much. It doesn't look bad, it just looks a bit awkward.

 

Second thing is the bottom half of her mane; (I can't draw her mane for the life of me, so take this with a grain of salt if you wish    ) it looks a bit too spiky and not like RD's. Hers is curving a bit more.

 

The only other things is that her body looks a bit too large (not enough curves. To me anyway) and that her wings are a bit too far down her body.

 

That said, I really do like the style you have; the eye, as I've said, looks very cool.

Nice work overall

This was my first shot, I might revisit her tomorrow and try to correct the mistakes Thank you! This is really helpful.

 

As for Luna, that's what my sister said. I think I will when I find the time.
