Trouble Naming My New OC (Possible cutiemark ideas needed too)

Here he is not sure what to name him yet once I have a name I feel I'll be able to start writing a backstory on him. If anypony has any name suggestions please feel free to put them on here for me I'm completely at a loss for good ideas. All I can really say about him at this point is that he's one of Luna's personal knights (The Midnight Guard is what I like to call them.) that protects her when she's off doing royal duties. Also he's a strong magic combat type focusing more on close quarter style and uses Kunai for weapons. The name will also help me to flush out his cutie mark and any ideas on that are more than welcome too.

Wait, so Luna has a special guard which consists of Alicorns?..bit overkill if you ask me.

 

To the naming, It helps to have a back-story which is written about the pony before actually naming him/her because the name comes to you as you are writing. 

 

I'm loving the design, what did you use to generate?

 

Now to my suggestion of a name: (Depending on his cutie mark as I don't see one) Sir Fiery, Sunstroke, Silent Flame?

I like his design and even with the fierce looking armor I like the kind expreccion good job on that =D.

 

For the name, all of the alicorn names of the alicorn kind in the show are based in Romance language words (Celestia from Spanish Celeste, Luna from latin Moon - Amore from italian love)

 

So with that in mind I would Sugest Ignis Sica -- Fire Blade/dagger from latin. good luck with this OC

Lol he's the only personal guard that's an alicorn I'm going to have it be Celestia's choice since she wanted someone who's strong to protect her little sister. As for the backstory I wish I had one right now I'm thinking of writing a Fanfiction with him in it but I'm not sure how to go about it yet. Lol and it's kinda silly to admit this but I just used the pony generator to make this OC. Thanks for your input I'll think through the names and hopefully be able to figure out a cutie mark for him. More names are welcome which means more ideas for me to work with.

Well, being a royal guard to Luna, I propose that you shall call him Dark Blade or Black Burn. Since fire... and darkness...and such.
