for he is just a protagonist, not a MAIN protagonist, you have to consider the writing as well in these things

 

What does this have to do with anything? Cloud has Mach 20 feats from events shown. Link is human level in speed. the protagonist status has no meaning here whatsoever.

your still on that, look at the arsenal Link uses, not just one game, every games, and consider the weight of it all, Link has the Brute force while Cloud may have speed, and speed is only THAT helpfull if it is intended to be used at ALL times, like Sonic for example

 

now i would like to get back to Gilda pwning Trixie, if you wouldn't mind

 

plus,i forgot to mention that Gilda can see in the dark, eyes of an eagle are way better than a ponies

 

so a cave fight, or night fight, would still be easy for Gilda to win

 

and the wing factor, gilda will still be good at ground combat, while Trixie, will almost surely use nothing but magic

 

after all, if take away daring doo's wings, can she not still escape from a temple of death

Even with the full arsenal, mach 20 slash means he doesn't get to use them, because he'll be dead/KO'd before he can react. And no version of Link will stay conscious.

Except there are more than 10 different Links, all with different levels of ability. I'm being kind here and assuming a composite version of Link, but even that doesn't help since Link is a relatively human hero, powerwise, while Cloud can run circles around Superheroes like Marvel's Quicksilver, and even without strength enhancers(which Link need just to a bit above human), he's way into superhuman territory in strength.

Blatantly untrue. If I could move fast as a bullet, I'd hit you before you could defend. Cloud moves several times faster than a bullet.

As long as you use good arguments(as you've done so far with Gilda vs Trixie), and not terrible, irrelevant ones(Cloud vs Link).

I would have to say  it would depend on the spot in which they fight.   if its a forest,  no wings but claws for climbing but

she loose her speed.  So Trix would have a chance,   more open air....

 

Glinda,  magic is only so goos if used in a line of sight it seems for unicorns.  So birdy girl could zoom down faster the

blue uni could use in magic.
